I remember the curious curve behind the goal in the top photo from the various games played there in the 1966 World Cup. Just seemed so odd.

Yes... the curve stayed until the mid 1970s.

Sir Ian. This fella has raised hundreds of thousands for Leukaemia research, a charity close to my heart.

He was at Derby with Cloughie but spent most of his time out on loan.
Once Peter Withe arrived he didn't feature much and left in 1977.I felt his signing by Allan Brown in 1974
typified Forest at the time-sell a good player(McKenzie)and replace them with a much poorer one.

There's something nostalgic about old fashioned terracing Rocka-but after Hillsborough surely those days are
    gone forever.
Besides,I always seemed to get behind someone who was well over 6 feet!

He only played a few games for Scunthorpe, but they had the Sir Ian Botham Executive Lounge at Glanford Park when I visited. Now he's a Lord I guess they had to fork out to change the sign.

Never knew that, well done Ian. I seem to recall the press making him out to be a wrong un.
