Bong had a shocking first 10 where his pass accuracy was 100% to Rotherham players but then did ok after.

The wheels were coming off before Lockdown, Dr Who's extermination, the Leeds match (a lot of teams suffered after beating them), Charlton, and our post lockdown form when the games came quicker (so less time to rest our side, which probably didn't help Lolley's muscle issue) was terrible after the first couple of games.

We need 5 wins, or maybe 2-3 and a few draws, the key thing is not to lose, the current form is most important and we're one of the in form teams, we rarely concede now, you'd like to think that given how much more solid we have been since that run of matches where we played the whole top 6 and how many teams are between us and the bottom 3, there is enough daylight unless our form drops off a cliff. And we have a different manager who looks better at coping with it

    15 Nottm Forest 32 -4 39
    16 Preston 31 -8 39
    17 Luton 31 -11 38
    18 Derby 31 -8 37
    19 Huddersfield 32 -9 36
    20 Coventry 31 -13 34
    21 Birmingham 32 -17 31
    22 Rotherham 30 -8 29
    23 Sheff Wed 30 -11 28

Rotherham and Sheff Weds have games in hand, but if they win them, it will probably be more likely to drag Huddersfield (who are in awful form) and Coventry into it more than us, Both Hudds and Birmingham have no games in hand either. (Of course, the key point with games in hand, is that if you lose them, you lose the advantage of having them, would prefer the points).
Goal difference has also significantly improved. I make it for Hughton +3 in the league. Sabri went -6 in 4 games (scored 1 conceded 7).

    Still 6 points clear...
And they’re not all going to win all their games in hand are they?

Absolutely, it's almost as if he's a fully grown adult living in the real world rather than a mardy spoilt little prick like Klopp, Pep, Mourihnio, Solshire ect

You can only beat what is in front of you, and what was in front of us tonight was a team of not very friendly giants who ran hard, tackled hard and tackled dirty.
They could have had at least 1 of their players sent off - mind you so could we!
Forest looked solid until the last 10 minutes following the introduction by them of Lapido, who should have scored one, but didn't.
Samba, Worrall and Figuerido were really strong tonight.
Christie had his best game for Forest and Bong did well apart from that incident towards the end of the first half when he didn't make any effort to prevent the corner from Worrall's tackle.
We did get the rub of the green tonight: Yates did look offside to me for his goal, and the number of times we were caught offside was a bit concerning.
Special mention for their keeper: he played very well.
    Captain Sinister's Star Ratings

Samba 7 - back to his confident best.
Christie 8 - really played well and looked the part, probably for the first time this season.
Figuerido 7 - solid, but he is going to see a straight red if he can't control his temper.
Worrall 9 Captain Sinister's Man of the Match! A really exemplary Captain's game tonight.
Bong 7 - Stronger than Rineiro defensively and he certainly can whip in a good cross.
Cafu 6 - looked good at times, but seemed to fade from the game at other times.
Yates 8 - guilty of being caught offside too many times, and while he was offside he should have put that header away first half. Took his goal well, but again, looked offside to me.
Knockaert 7 - so sparky and probably should have scored 2nd half when he curled a left footer a bit too close to the keeper (who made a decent save).
Krovinovic 7 - first half was running the game; closer marked in the 2nd half and as a result less influential.
Freeman 5 - started to show flashes as to what he can do, but is still overweight and not fully match fit.
Murray 6 - for an experienced striker he did stray offside too often.
    Subs:
Lolley for Freeman 6 - looking better now he doesn't have the whole responsibility for our creative play.
Taylor for Murray 7 - looked well up for it and created some really good openings. Would have been nice if he had put that shot in.
Garner for Knockaert no rating, but he didn't get to the pace of the game.
Blackett for Krovinovic no rating, this is a big strong lad and good to bring on to shore things up.
CH: 10 - got if perfectly right with selection, tactics and substitutions.
Excellent 3 points and look out Sheep... we are coming after you!!!
It's hard to dispute any of that, save for the observation that Rotherham were dirty in the challenge. They copped a couple of yellows in the first half but they were no worse than anyone else I've seen this season.

I bet everyone on social media and the like were having a meltdown when Yates was named in the starting XI. This is the kind of game we usually struggle in but we did well today, think we won't come unstuck in these kinds of games often anymore now with Hughton in charge.

Such a massive 3 points. 4 points or more in the next 2 games and I think we can all breathe a little easier.

    ...

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

Well that was actually my point, making that the worst case scenario, unless we just go back to losing every week.

No way. It made sense having the big peen in there because of his height and strength against a big side. You'll see I said this not long after 6.45...
