    Southampton : Obafemi
    Leicester : Benkovic, Choudhury, Dewsbury-Hall
Iíd take Guilbert or Kenny all day long. Ngakia, Osei-Tutu and Sterling look good prospects at RB too.

I feel like whoever gets Anjorin will have done well.

Nelson and Balogun probably out of reach and Dewsbury-Hall I imagine will stay at Leicester.

We need to be all over Dewsbury-Hall if he becomes available late in the window though.

Probably going to have to buy a LB.

There are some good players on that list and normally, I'd say no chance with some of them but given the financial climate, you'd want to test the resolve of some of these teams to even pay part of their wages.
Guys like Hourihane, Sessegnon, Gray and Choudhury would be starters at this level in a team to challenge for the playoffs.

But they'd cost a small fortune and it's not what we're going for.

It was announced Maatsen was going last week. So I make it ; Giles (Wolves to Cardiff), Maatsen (Chelsea to Coventry), Castillo (Chelsea to Birmingham), McCallum (Norwich to QPR) & Davis (Leeds to Bournemouth) as young left-backs who've made loan moves to Champ this summer.

Pickering joined Blackburn in Jan and was loaned back to Crewe. So Blackburn can now work with him.

Out of interest I also see Man City rate Morgan Rogers at 10m and people wonder why we shouldn't short sell ourselves on our limited actual talent we have in our squad and just one of our better players already.

It’s funny how after nearly 1,500 posts now, the very first comment in this thread is still really the only relevant one

As good as it is in relative terms, it's a bit of a stretch comparing our academy with Man City's.

Aye, itís a bit like comparing the Human-rights record of the Dalai Lama to that of Pol Pot.

ĄI believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialismď

ĄDon't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.Ē

It's got nothing to do with City academy v Forest academy.

    Each individual talent is different.

They both played in the same team last season. Both highly regarded but Brennan was relied upon more.

In any case Man City bought him from WBA at 16.

It's like why is Alex Mighten a regular contributor for his England age group when he comes from Forest academy. Where is the City winger to put him back in his place.

Pol Pot turned a new leaf after winning the first series of Britain's Got Talent.

I was hoping that this season we could do business early, give CH a good pre-season to blend the players and go on from there.

    That all went well!

CH will be raging about the lack of signings to date. He won't say it publicly coz that ain't his style. We have done well to get a lot out the door but there is a few if them we wanted rid of who are still hanging around picking up wages that we need for other signings.

The season is just about to start and the Club haven't even gone out of heir way to get him one player he really needs to have a stab at Promotion. The only signing a goalkeeper which was the only really position we had someone really good.

I hope there are one or two that are really close to getting over the line. I was confident of a top 6 finish under CH but not if we don't provide the tools to help make that happen.

All the signings won't get done by the first match. The window shuts end of August and players like Garner or Zinkernagel for example becoming available depend on what transfers their clubs manage to do.

Last year we hadn't signed Christie, Diallo, Arter, McKenna, Ioannou, Cafu or Knockaert before the first game, and Mbe Soh only joined the day before.

(For the record we'd signed Colback, Blackett, Taylor, Bachirou, Guerrero and Freeman in time to play against QPR, four frees and two loans who were in their own teams bomb squads).

    Milan, London or Middlesbrough.

    Tough choice.

As the resident Crewe know it all here, I really feel we missed a trick not going in for both Ng and Pickering last season. Both are good players, were available for not a lot of money and would have been exactly the sort of overlapping attacking full backs we needed. Ng was captain so brought that experience and Pickering is decent on free kicks and corners which we don't have now Garner's gone.

That's before considering the real basics like just needing a RB and LB in general.

It's a travesty we didn't sign Ng. A player of that name needs to be in Nottingham.
