I don't think Hughton would be interested if he did..

If he does pass the ball forward it will soon be coached out of him

But then you are just completely undermining his football knowledge/opinion. If you trust him to manage and coach this team, why donít you trust his opinion on players/signings?

Iím interested to see what Hughton does if given this window and at least the summer to build Ďhisí squad. Itís clearly a piece of piss when you read half the posts in here .

Yet again the flip flop attitude of football fans.

"I trust him, but not that much!"

Given how frequently you post it, I expect you have that comment on 'paste'.

They're different skill-sets though aren't they? Hence why lots of teams have someone different in charge of recruitment.

Norwich fans said similar about Gary Holt.........

Didn't Norwich fans used to call him '3 lungs' or something like that?

The way he played for us, you'd be forgiven for thinking he only had one lung.

    Was it four lungs?

Four lungs, two left feet and no legs turned out to be the case.

He was bloody awful. That League One side under Megson had some absolutely horrendous players in it. Even the current shower of shit would beat that lot fairly comfortably.

    No?

When managing a team, you evaluate the talent you have and their skill sets, then you put them in a system to be successful. Howís that initial evaluation any different?

Why do we trust Hughton to be selecting the right players on a match day? Why do we trust his evaluation of players we let go?

This isnít aimed at anyone in particular, but in the Hughton thread people keep saying trust the process, he has a proven track record of success etc. If you have absolute faith in his ability to manage, coach and lead this team, you have to trust his ability to evaluate the team.

And we have tried the route of letting someone else deal with transfers and that has been as popular as a red headed step child.

Most if not all clubs have 3 or 4 sets of eyes/opinions on players

So we can't question any team tactics or players because we're supporting the manager, isn't the point of the forum to discuss different opinions.

We have to agree with Hughton that Figuerido playing 80% of the games since he's took over has been a good idea?

A lot of us are sick of the recruitment going on at Forest and this just looks like another similar signing, if you are happy with that Gandalf then fair enough.

Nixon suggesting that this may be a permanent signing. Obviously its best to take what Nixon says with a pinch of salt, but if true then...

I shouldn't have tempted fate by joking about us offering him a 3 year contract!

Yay, another former top-flight player whoís value will only decrease, and one who hasnít regularly featured much for his current club!

That pattern has been so successful of late.

Prove us wrong, Dan. Please. Please, for the love of God.

ĄI believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialismď

ĄDon't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.Ē

Won't be the last under the current ownership either. We add at least one every window without fail. Usually with the same results too.

I can forgive the club for making mistakes, but it really annoys me when they don't learn from them.

Iíd be shocked if it was a permanent in the January window

Iíll welcome him as a loan if he can keep us up

Simple as that. If they sign a 40year old but he helps keep us up then thatís fine with me
