A customer gave me a bottle of Glenmorangie today. Really happy about that, never tried it as it’s one of those that is never on offer.
Did a search on the forum for Glenmorangie and apparently you got a bottle of it from work in 2019 Bryn. Is it the same person, and if so do they need any library stuff sorting?
Sampled the Glenmorangie, again![]()
Can’t remember my thoughts last time but impressed. Getting a toffee aroma with a bit of lemon, a bit floral and spicey to taste, some honey. A drip of water softens things dramatically. Really smooth and one to savour.
Morrison’s are absolutely killing it with their rum special offers.
You owe it to yourself to try all of these.

Had to go to the hellhole that is Asda earlier so I picked up the Bowmore 12. A bit spoilt for choice now on Vinyl Night.
A fairly damning review, although there’s no illusion other than you get what you pay for.
I enjoyed the Bowmore No1 which I don’t think has an age statement, so it’s going to be interesting to compare the two.
Love Ralfy, that’s a great idea with the caps as well
Had to try it early after watching that review.
He’s spot on about it being sharp and smells a bit like Sherry. Can’t smell peat but it hits you straight away on taste.
I think if you find the exact right balance with added water it’s okay. I’d be disappointed if I’d paid the full RRP of £40, for a 12 y/o you expect more, but it’s decent enough at the discount price.
A birthday present...

Anyone ever made an Infinity bottle?
Sampled the Balvenie last night.
Rather decent.
Rally’s review is spot on though... lacks real depth.
Should have been distilled to 46%.
Poured myself a drop of the Moray tonight. Before I tell you how it tasted, I'll tell you that today was stressful and I wasn't having fun. I tend to pick my teeth with my tongue on days like this but today it got sore so all I tasted was pain.
Fgs.
Thought I’d try something different and saw this in Morrissons for £16.
No age statement but quite nice, surprisingly smooth and definitely worth paying that amount for.
A bit of a custard aroma on the nose, apples and toffee on the palate. Short finish, as expected.
