    Default [BUPA] Alan Browne, Preston

Very, very solid box-to-box midfielder who'd supply us with some drive in the middle.

51 appearances last year (including internationals), so certainly no biscuit.

Only 4 goals this year, but 12 the year before that, 7 the year before that.

From what I can find online, contract due to expire 2021. Said to be rated around 3m, and with that contract running down could be worth a punt.

Decent player and, bar Colback and Sow (when not injured), is better than what we have (granted, that's not saying much ). I'd take him if he was available for a good price.

More chance of Alan Brown being sacked as manager precipitating the most successful period in the club's history.

Aye. Would be interested to see what Lamouchi could do with him, and how much having an ever-present all-rounder in the middle with some drive would benefit us.

Think him & Colback would be a very nice pairing. Solid, reliable, but also driven too. Bang on for us.

Yes. But is there any evidence that Forest are actually interested in him ?

Or, is Alf just on a scouting mission for the club?

If Alf is recommending him then he’s probably a fat pub player.

Can we expect more Modesto & Anigo-bashing if we don't sign this bloke then Alf, as has been the case with Marriott, Maddison and that lad at Sheffield Wednesday who's name escapes me?

There might be something in this!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Well it appears we can definitely expect more Alf bashing for no good reason other than trying to chat footy on a footy forum.

Fuck it, I'll go back to talking about Carvalho instead.

To be fair Alf, this does look like you making a stick to beat the club with.
This player may be very happy to stay at his current club and not want to move elsewhere

Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

    Only to the paranoid mate.

Simple suggestion, there to be chatted about like how Ash is above. The lads out of contract season end, I think that'd be worth looking at now.

If posters want to stop hearing repetitive stuff about the same players, then allow folk the freedom to talk about other players etc.

But I won't suggest any more, and will go back to talking about Carvalho & Anigo instead if that's what folk want to focus on instead.

Just seen you mention him in the other thread - I like him so it’s a fair suggestion.

Please don’t spend the next 12 momths saying we should’ve signed him for a make-believe fee though Alf. I couldn’t handle it.

Nothing wrong with putting names forward for discussion. But history tells us you’ll be hammering the club for not signing him when the clubs signing fails.

    Unfair Tim.

My suggestions of players the club could have signed instead of the shit they did were initially only put forward in response to questions like "yeah, but who could we have signed instead?"

Did I take the piss ramming the point home? Yep, coz - like above - posters take the piss first. So I just took the piss back.

In fairness to you Alf, on checking this bloke he does seem to be a decent shout - in contrast to Marriott and Maddison.

Browne would have been a decent option had we not got Colback. But we don't need another like him. We need a ball mover to slot into one of the two 'deeper' central positions.

I'd say he's way more box-to-box than Colback. 12 goals season before last, wouldn't ever see Colback getting that many.

Sorry you see it as unfair Alf.

I’m just going on your hammering the club for not signing Grosicki or Robinson when realistically we had no chance.

You see these things as black and white when there are other factors at play
