If the going price is really „only“ £1.2m, Forest should be all over that, instead of signing yet another no-mark from some random league as a favour to an agent.

I've seen Barnsley play a fair bit having family that support them and Mowatt is an excellent player and just the type of player we need, he makes Barnsley tick. I said to my brother in the summer I wish we would put a bid in for him. I'm really surprised that nobody has snapped him up before.

Doubt he'll be coming here this month. Barnsley are doing well at the moment and he's out of contract in the summer. Makes no sense leaving a club on the fringes of the play offs to one in a relegation battle, he'd be better off staying at Barnsley, putting himself in the shop window and having his pick of the interested clubs in the summer when his contract expires.

Barnsley won't finish in the top six and he can double, perhaps triple, his wages by coming here.
He's an established player at this level not an unknown. There isn't a shop window for him by staying at Barnsley.
