The Swans fans are already on their Forum saying "4th Round v Forest... banana skin if ever there was one... the Wembley journey ends here for us".
Guardilola's lot are sweating about beating Cheltenham... they'll be mentally drained and also they'll be remembering when Duncan McKenzie dismantled them and then that 0-3 at Maine Road.
    Oh yea of little faith.
All you've got to do is believe.

That Duncan McKenzie demolition job of City was one of the best Forest games I've ever scene at the City Ground. Me and my brother were sat in front of the perimeter wall next to the pitch.

I was stood on the Pop side (East Stand, now the Brian Clough)with my Dad and his mates.
They spent most of the game tutt-tutting about the delinquents sat in front of the perimeter wall when they should have been behind it...

I can't remember you on the terraces mate! Dunc was a class above but sadly put himself in the shop window. A heavy smoker didn't stop him jumping over mini cars.

I too was in the Man City end. They let a small number of reds into one of the 'closed' upper stands. Wish I'd asked in the Man City ticket office. Had to sit on my hands to stop me erupting when Tyson scored.
    Forest support was phenomenal!
    As usual at away games.

Although I vaguely remember the early 70s Man City team, the first time they came to prominence with me was when Malcolm Allison became manager and spent what were huge transfer fees for then on a bunch of unproven players. His team were a big flop, but it shows they were ‘big spending Man City’ long before the Sheikh arrived with his billions.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

and he could hurl a golf ball from the top step of the Kop clear over the top of the Trent End roof.

What a boring draw. Still, it's another match for Hughton to give a few fringe players a game.

    That's true Ravi.

Although I can't remember the actual amount, but one example was paying a record fee at the time for a teenager, by signing Steve McKenzie from Crystal Palace.

Why do people get pissy if other clubs called us Notts Forest? I get that it's not correct but I've never understood why it creates so much annoyance for Forest fans? Surely it's just people who are a bit ignorant - same sort of people that called us Forrest. No one really bats an eyelid when that happens.

Spelling someone’s name correctly in a communication is basic manners. I agree that some of the reactions are over the top, but it’s unprofessional by the BBC to get a club’s name wrong, particularly when some of the fans of that club are known to be offended by the misspelling.

Is it really getting it wrong?

In the great 'Early History' thread, even in the club's own literature from the beginning, Notts Forest was occasionally used.

The getting pissy about it is an internet era thing for snowflakes.

    EXACT SAME BENEFITS

I sort of accept BBC should be better (they also shouldn't write an article which seems to favour Swansea) but people on here react when it's just random bloke on internet.

Got better things to get worried about, like when will we ever play a PL game again.

I distinctly remember people getting annoyed at it prior to the internet. Didn't Cloughie once reprimand a pundit for using it?

That was a very long time ago. Maybe the person doing the BBC website is 95 years old and hasn’t updated their view. That would explain it.
