    Default [BUPA] Kostas Fortounis

28 year old, Greek international attacking midfielder. 4 goals and 7 assists in 13 games this season so far.

Rumour from Greece that he could be on his way over. Dunno how good the source is so perhaps GBG could shed some light on it:

4 goals and 7 assists in 13 games is a pretty good record. Will the club actually give him more than a handful of games if he comes here though?

Pretty sure he is head and shoulders Olympiacos' best player and has been for some years now.

This would be a superb signing.

Why would Oly’s best player come to Forest. Makes no sense.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

He has had a fallout with Martins acording to that article. That would be the only reason he would come here, surely.

A "fan" site of AEK, actually on the payroll of AEK's owner, EM's greatest enemy. The chances of the unsigned article actually containing real information on things pertaining to Olympiacos is below zero.

Even if there was truth in the fallout story, the chances of Fortounis leaving is even more below zero, and the chances of him going to Forest even less.

Fair play to the AEK fans for this wind-up.

It's pretty good , especially considering what we could do with his name.

Can LTLF start a return wind up suggesting Grabban is going to Oly?

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

The NP and Sarah Clapson are so far behind the curve it's truly embarrassing.

The way Sarah shamelessly quotes GBG and/or Karteo on here as "Greek sources" particularly takes the biscuit.

Did you ever get a response from her Chris?

We should have a forum competition to make up the most bollocks Forest rumours imaginable and see which posters are able to get their stories in the Post.

    I did not.

Sarah - if you’re reading - stop stealing stuff off here and not attributing it.

It makes you look really dumb, especially when you swallow a load of crap like this story.

I felt sure we'd signed him many times over the years.

In this case she didn't even bother to read anything other than the first post and the link.

Contrary to what English speakers would expect, his name is etymologically unrelated to "fortune"; it derives from φουρτούνα = sea tempest.
