    Default BUPA - Siriki Dembele

Probably nothing in it, but it wouldn’t be miles off our strategy spunking millions on a player that doesn’t fit our system

I dunno, from the two links so far they seem to be after a certain type.

It's all gone a bit quiet about his little brother as well, after everyone raving like crazy about him a few years back.

Not sure on this one though, he hasn't really done anything, but then Posh do prove time and time again they can get players and make loads on them. Maybe we should just try and get their recruitment team instead.

We'd only sack 'em after a few months.

Makes you wonder what they could have done with Yates

Apparently we have submitted a loan-to-buy bid, which makes no sense as he is apparently out of contract at the end of the season?

    Possibly for FFP-compliance reasons?

During his post-Millwall interview, Chris Hughton did reveal that (and I paraphrase) another attacking player who is versatile enough to operate across the front-line would be preferable. Maybe this lad fits that bill if the report is to be believed?

He does. He’s played right-wing, as a number 10 and a central striker (only as one of a pair though, not really suited to be the lone striker) - as a result of Posh playing a 4-4-2 (traditional and midfield diamond), 3-5-2 and 4-5-1 during his time there.

We'll have him playing defensive midfield in no time.

Perhaps there is some financial reason involved, just seems strange to have a loan-to-buy deal for a player that is out of contract in the summer.

If today's rumours are to be believed, it looks like we are targeting relatively young League One players, which makes a welcome change from the usual (if true of course).

We all dream of a team of Zach Clough's...

Who knows, could be a case of we can't afford to pay you much for him now so let us have him on loan and we'll give you a bit of cash in the summer even though he's out of contract.

Or it could be utter bullshit, I was keeping track of all the transfer rumours in the summer, who linked them etc. and one Journo who works for them linked us with quite a few players and we didn't sign any of them, Wayne Veysey or something like that. I've noticed they seem to have stopped putting the name of the journalist in the article.

He's out of contract in the summer.

If no one buys him now the Posh get nothing.

Forest can promise a purchase if he meets certain targets - so many games or minute, goals taken, number of assists.

It could work as a model.

The thing that doesn't sit right is he supposed to be in demand. Unless we were offer significantly higher than other offers, it down't make sense for them to hold out for bigger cash if there is cash on the table now. Barry Fry isn't daft.

I could have a saved my some typing and just said this is the Posh putting him in the window and letting the writer make 5 from 2 + 2.

    EXACT SAME BENEFITS

He has 18 months remaining on his contract

The Posh sales model of linking random clubs with their players for excessive values in evidence.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

loan to buy makes sense, as it would suggest we agree a future fee with Posh now rather than signing player at end of contract and going to tribunal.

Dembele snr did some shagging didn't he? You could probably make a team full of Dembeles, Traores and Henderson's.

It's presumably a common surname. His little brother plays for Celtic but if the others are related it's not that close.

I guess some people could think Dr Who is related to our flapping reserve keeper..

    Ł0.5m?

If this is true we should make sure we’re in the bidding.
