A very good solid and encouraging debut from Cafu.

Did you not have a tally chart of all of his mistakes?

Cafu was good and was almost a decent team performance, made a nice change from watching Colback chasing shadows and giving fouls away.

Fulham have had our pants down with Arter, Christie and Knockaert. Send them back in Jan and sign some players with pace.

Also get a fit Samba Sow next to Cafu and we ll be fine.

Freddie's snap judgements: Impressed with Yates who sat back instead of did the job Cafu did. Cafu looked okay but needs more Championship games. 2 points dropped because the manager is scared of everything.

Figgy looked better playing with joe, well we were the better side and we looked better without Colback going sideways and backwards,

Here's a bit of a novel concept for you to try.

Instead of the above post why not try a much more positive line like this?

Definite signs of improvement tonight. We looked to be playing as a team with purpose for the first time in ages.

Watford should've been reduced to ten men but given our lack of clinical finishing I'm not sure it would've made all the difference.

Still it's the first game for a while we deserved to win.

Funny how most seem to think Yates had a solid game..

We seemed to get better as we went on, although there were some tired legs at the end.

    It'll do. It's a start.

Think people are overreacting a little. It was a decent performance against a team with Premiership quality players.

Man of the Match, for me.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

He's not nearly influencial enough, he doesn't give options off the ball and is wasteful with it. For the amount of times he breaks play up he's a wasted number.

Worrall is a proper captain... organjising and motivating.
    Good performance all round:
    Samba 7 nothing to do.
Christie 7 best game in a red shirt so far.
Figuerido 7 looked confident and able with his mate back beside him.
Worrall 8 captained the side like a captain. It's like having another Dawson!
Ribeiro 7 much calmer and better defending and going forward.
Arter 7 his best game to date, but left his shooting boots at home.
    Yates 7 solid
    Cafu 7 excellent debut.
Knockaert 7 played with the rest of the team rather than playing on his own.
Taylor 7 100% effort but needs a goal now.
Lolley 5 final ball is shit most of the time.
    Ref -10 abysmal.

Same old issues to be fair, closes down well, makes some tackles & spoiled. How many times did he receive the ball in 10 yds of space & pass up the opportunity to go on the half turn in favour of a backwards pass though. Slows us down.

Has a place in certain games, tonight was probably one of those.
