Can the coach drop him off back in London on the way up?

The Chris Hughton Rolling Scorecard (the one that makes Alf "thrive"):

    Bournemouth 2-0 Forest

A very disappointing performance. Not the worst we've seen by a distance, but simply good enough.

The first few minutes of each half put the points out of reach and we never looked capable of getting back into it.

There was the odd bit of decent approach play, but our end product was severely lacking and some of our general play was far too slack.

Chris Hughton cards a virtual bogey to slip to level par on the rolling scorecard.

I bet you're wishing you'd left this one alone.

Just like Dougie and Cotterill. We're only going one way.

Big questions over Hughton's fit for this squad.

For Figs to keep getting a game, Soh must be dire.

Who would be a better fit?

We went from a defensive minded coach who played on the counter to a defensive minded coach who plays on the counter, but has a track record at this level.

Yeah, and we lost a shed load of players who that defensive stability was built around (Cash, Watson, Daws, Silva, Sow, etc.) Why does that keep escaping everyone's attention?

Obv Davies would be a better fit because he's a different class all round But seriously, I think Hughton needs significant time & additional players to get his plans working.

We just have to let Hughton crack on....im half tempted to just fuck off Forest for 15 games and see where we get to.

Chances are I will miss nothing and save myself £150

There's no doubt that Hughton is a very good manager at this level. The stats show that. We couldn't have gotten anybody with his track record and its hard to see how we will again if it goes wrong for him.

And yet, it already feels like he's doomed to failure. Fans on here and on Twitter are rushing to criticise his every move.

Sky claimed tonight that the owners have made clear that the playoffs are the aim this season?

If we sack Hughton before next season I invite the ownership to kindly take themselves with him because that will show how clueless they truly are.

Take a month off guys and try not to stress. December is a shit month for Forest anyways. Nil points after 4 games was a hell of a handicap and even the playoffs would have been a long shot. If the powers that be think otherwise then more fool them.

Hughton knows this league, let him get on with it. Good result enjoy, bad result and life goes on. That's my mindset for now. Over analysis isn't good for stress levels, there's enough of it around this year as it is.

That surely is a problem though? December always being a chronically shite month for us means that we could face the new year in the bottom three?

I don't think we've been set up too badly formation wise, what's worrying is that it's the same players being absolutely shit every single week, with no chance of being dropped.

Christie, Yates, Figs... it's not as if we don't have options is it?
