    RIP

At this time, we would like to confirm the passing of Joseph Laurinaitis aka Road Warrior Animal at the age of 60. The family is planning to release a statement later today. At this time we ask for you to keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers. #OhWhatARush

JOSEPH LAURINAITIS, one half of legendary WWE tag-team the Legion of Doom, has died aged 60.

The Hall of Famer, called Road Warrior Animal, and his partner Hawk were two of the biggest stars during the 1980s and 90s.

The team has been reunited. Odd press coverage of it. Hulk Hogan seemed to be the first to announce it. RIP

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

I saw that too. Unfortunately they are out of the box and none are particularly rare. I had one as a kid that is now worth a significant amount. Unfortunately a family member flogged it at a car boot for 50p... not that I'm annoyed about it..

Unfortunately for wrestlers of that era 60 is about the average life expectancy.

    RIP.

Juicing and a life of drugs and booze on the road. Most of their hearts are a ticking time bomb. Bret Hart found himself pushed into steroids as everybody else was doing it and the top talents were booked on looks rather than talent. Lex Luger had a huge push as the next Hogan, even though his fellow professionals mostly say his actual talent was mediocre at best.
