Urrr, special forces stormed the boat because stowaways from Nigeria (hence, immigrants) became violent and hijacked the vessel. Who would you blame? Lord Lucan?

Can they be immigrants if they weren't in Britain at the time?

Maybe they just want to live a life at sea or take the boat home?

The ship was Liberian registered so I hope that the tax dodging owners are being sent a massive bill for sorting this out.

It's a good story this one.

Seven stowaways, who boarded a tanker 20 days ago and were hiding in the hold seemingly without food and water.

The 21 men of the crew, presumably fully fed and rested, were fearful of their lives when the stowaways started to panic on being discovered.

The crew then attempted to lock the stowaways into a cabin but they became agitated and this caused the sailors to fear for their life.

The coastguard was then notified and, quickly, the operational decision making was elevated to senior ministerial level.

The home secretary called in the Navy to storm the ship.

And the TV companies decided to re-run Iranian hostage situation.

Seven men who had not eaten for 20 days.

This hand was played for media consumption.

    Never waste an opportunity.

Yeah, the situation only had two outcomes. Treat it like an international terror/hostage situation or turn it into a welcoming party.

If they hadn’t responded as they did, they’d only get criticised for that as well.

I don’t see what the problem is: shit was going off on a boat so they called the people who deal with shit going off on boats, the navy, who sorted it. Hampshire plod weren’t exactly guna nip out in a pedalo to nick them

My issue is the way the government used it.

The story is still ping-ponging between immigrants stowing away or that it was a highjacking. It cant be both.

If it was immigrants then getting the SBS out seems a bit disproportionate.

If it was a highjacking, then let's stop calling them immigrants.

How have they used it? It happened and has been reported in the news.

For sure. It’ll be right up there with the Battle of Trafalgar, and the Battle of the Red Lion (just outside Portsmouth dockyard).

I can see the SBS‘ storming an oil tanker and rescuing the terrified crew from seven starving stowaways being immortalised on film in a couple of years, probably directed by Michael Bay, and starring Matt Damon trying and failing to pull-off a plummy English accent as Leftenant-Commander „Dinghy“ Bloodbath-Butcher, leader of the crack team of flippered aquatic commandos.

    Expect at least two Oscars!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I think I was at the battle of the Red Lion a few years back. Had to hold the main battalions crutch as she lunged off of her mobility scooter.

Starring Tom Hardy as "Carlos the gaffer"

Anyway, it’s a step above their usual missions; storming beaches and attempting to liberate young ladies from their swimwear.

Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

Yes, I believed so. In the news I heard, he woke up after being unconscious and said he was thrilled to have set a new record.

Apparently, he hit the water at 80mph.

As many on here are aware. Not matter what, a cock will lead you into trouble. Be it your own or someone else's.
