Just because I'm excited, thinking of trying something new and I wouldn't want to clog up the games thread with RDR2 stuff I thought I'd give it it's own thread in this secluded part of the forum.
I don't think anyone, including the gaming industry, took on this generation with a "build it and they will come" attitude. Yet the PS4 has sales over 500 million. I think Red Dead Redemption 2 is our reward for all the bullshit we've had to endure as gaming fans. All the crappy 'remasters', the asset flips, battle royale boredom, and Ubisoft's 8 million games a year.
I'm going to link to the trailers in the comments below.

I think I’ve lost the will to live and to think I try to get my son off this (or is it his Xbox) 24/7
I’ll be in my bunk.
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Hate that it's not on PC at launch
Oh well, looks like I'm buying a PS4 again. thinking of booking a week off work for this
You know it makes sense Liam.
I reckon it'll be out on PC for Christmas though. No evidence of that, mind.
Has anyone preordered it yet? I've got the day off booked as I'm seeing a friend the night before and going to a gig. Probably will get messy.
I will do, what edition did you go for? I want all the story content, obviously, but don't see why it's an extra £20 odd for a "bank mission, hideout..." plus other stuff which straight away makes the game a little bit easier like a horse, outfit, guns, cash, skills etc.
Will probably go for the standard one.
Ah that reminds me I have been trading my games in at Game in preperation for RDR2 so I've got about £35 in the bank to go towards it so maybe I will go for the overpriced wanker edition
Less than 50 days.
Hope take2 don't wreck this with micro transactions.
lol. Don't think so, don't think I'd recommend him to anyone as his humour is a bit odd but I had just done watching his video before posting. After the surprise success of GTA Online I do worry about take 2 knowing the potential revenue in micro transactions from day 1 of development.
I think you posted one of his videos about the state of game development (he talks about his sources in Square Enix) and have been watching him ever since. Big fan of him, very succinct even though I disagree with him on some points.
I think the criticism of Rockstar is harsh, brushing them with the same brush that Take2 rightly deserve. Rockstar were releasing free updates to GTA Online from day 1 up until today, which is 5 (five!) Years later. I've bought the game twice so feel like my monies been well spent as a fan of the online, only bought a Shark Card once using a £5 PSN gift card someone gave me. Everything on GTA is attainable after a bit of work.
I love Jim fucking Sterling Son so thanks if it was you.
As I've said before there's no issue with transactions if you can get there without paying, people want to buy their way through then it only helps fund more games.
