Restrictions on travel to the US will be scrapped in November, if you’re vaccinated.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

First day in the office for me for 18 months.

My desk has not been cleaned so that was my first job, and cleaning a few others as well. Rather important as we had a confirmed COVID case the other day. Sigh.

We also had new laptops since we were sent home, and none of them have the required port connections to be able to support the external monitors here, so my four screens are all switched off and blank.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

You would have fucking thought workplaces would be onto the enhanced cleaning by now. Though saying that, if it's been 48 hours that's usually enough to kill the virus with no action.

Whitty was in shopping trolley mode earlier I noticed. With all the somewhat indecisiveness regarding vaxxing kids, probably being tugged by the JCVI down the bread aisle, he's now being tugged by Boris down the sweets aisle and is saying all kids are going to get it if they're not vaccinated and over half have probably already had it. And that if they don't get vaccinated they'll get it. What happened to their narrative a few weeks back that the risk to kids was low?

Saying that, I do agree we should jab kids.

Just even a wipe down of the desk in the past 18 months would have been nice.

No but it's a toss up as to which organisation is more incompetent.

I love screens, I'm like mod on a scooter with his mirrors except I have screens showing spreadsheets and trackers.

At my previous work we used to ask the cleaning crews NOT TO wipe our desks, because they were sometimes using the same rags to clean the floor and the desks and all other furniture in our building.

    Default The CoronaVirus MEGA Thread

Healthcare provide says I could get the booster tomorrow if I want, probably will see on Friday what availability they have on the weekend for them since the app is wonky. I just find it funny that I’m getting the booster before my dad simply because I got the original shot before him by pure luck.

If it all helps protect him, I’m all for it.

Saw this article the other day. Once again, seems to fit with what many of us have spoken about previously that we were very ill over winter 2019/2020.

Kay Burley on Sky news ripping into Tory ministers for not apologising over taking too long to lockdown last March, I'd be fine with this questioning if it wasn't coming from someone who was caught breaking lockdown rules by having a birthday party

    Two faced bitch

I think the word you’re looking for is „Hypocritical“.

I get ya and she is being hypocritical, but she was suspended from her job for several months over that, these fuckers are pretending they did nothing wrong when everyone knew at the time they were dithering and delaying, and their actions caused immeasurably more harm than hers.

And let's not forget the way the cabinet encircled Cummings to protect him, etc.
