I don't get the fuss about vaccine passports really - or similar ideas. If you go on holiday to some countries they already need proof of immunisation against certain conditions, this is no different.
If you're travelling abroad, it is entirely in your interests, the interests of your home country and the interests of where you're going to show that you are not a virus risk. It is to protect everyone in these places especially from new variants.
In reality anyone who can have the vaccine (and really only medical grounds should be a reason not) should do when offered, and yes absolutely there should be allowances made for those who haven't yet been offered a vaccine or might not ever be such as little kids, or people who can't have it because of medical reasons.
Though you can also see the logic in places like pubs and nightclubs asking for a test or proof of vaccination on entry, I wouldn't really want to see this - enough people will probably take responsibility for themselves and get the vaccine for it not to really matter.
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Congo I don't think it's unreasonable for folk to want a summer holiday after what we've all been through for the last year
Myself & my family have followed all the rules (I think) and will get the vaccine as soon as it's offered and if not possible by the summer I'm happy to take and pay for any PCR tests required and self isolate on return.
We should have all adults jabbed by mid July so surely that is the point when we say enough is enough and crack on
I'm not saying it isn't. But we should be very carefully controlling which countries we should be letting people holiday in. Those with minimal vaccination and high transmission rates should be no-go until they can achieve a level of vaccination in their own population.
The Pontins case was an absolute cack-handed way of discriminating against people by assuming their ethnicity by their name, and then denying them a booking at the kind of holiday camp that frankly, they’re better off avoiding because it’s absolutely fucking terrible.
The second case would be a proactive measure to attempt to prevent the further spread of coronavirus by encouraging folk to vaccinate, in that example, by raising economic barriers to prevent them travelling unless they did vaccinate.
Is the second case ethical? No.
Is it a good idea? Yes. And I say that as a frequent traveller myself.
I just want to punish the selfish aresholes that won't get vaccinated (medical conditions exempt)
Just following on from other comments. Insurance wise as well it must be about risk. The worst case scenario is someone goes to the USA, catches covid and spends weeks in hospital, has to go on an icu ward, hooked up to a ventilator etc... The bill would be huge. So if you are jabbed up that is a legitimate reduction in your chances of requiring such treatment and your premium would be less. Just like in car insurance where your postcode, your age and experience, whether you are doing 4k or 100k miles a year, whether you lock your car away in a garage or park it in Toxteth on a side street make a huge difference to your premium.
The pontins thing is fine too. Everyone knows all the rum lads at school had Irish names!!
The Irish bit was a joke by the way. Just in case all the snowflakes like eddie and Barry start flapping!
I have Irish family so I can say offensive things about the Irish!
Lovely knees you have there.
