It was one of my most disappointing pub crawls.
Only place we found worth drinking was Brewdog.
A couple of places had beer so far past it's best I actually had to tell the barmen to change the barrels.

Just spoke to someone who works between LRI, Glenfield and General. They are looking at Eid celebrations as a possible source of outbreak.

    I think I've done it a disservice.
Just remembered a great bar we visited called Tønne and the Blue Boar was decent too.
I think it was the last two we went in were so bad it tainted my memory (I'll spare their blushes by not naming them).

Wouldn't surprise me - there were regularly upwards of 6 cars at our Muslim neighbours during Eid.

So yesterday was better, got home and went to bed. Seemed OK till I started coughing at about midnight, not very often just a tickle in the back of the throat kind.

The more I think about it, I think it's "just" hay fever but I've not had it this bad for years, Bloody nose, itchy eyes and ears, sore throat. I'm taking tablets but they're not helping much.

Cough is once every half hour or so, so doesn't seem to fit with Covid symptoms.

I did read where it said Leicester had closed some of its mosques. Some but not all, what good is that?

Have they reimposed movement restrictions in Lesda? If not, what's the point? What stops EVERYONE just piling into their cars and travelling to Loughborough, D**by, Nottingham and spreading it further?

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

The Mosque is only part of the story isn't it? Ok, so they would go there for the prayer and whatnot, but Eid also brings large house-based gatherings.

I read last night that they were advising against all but essential travel so no, they've bottled it and made it a complete waste of time.

They haven't even said where it applies to. I have family who live just outside of Leicester and they have no idea whether it applies to them or not.

They won't be going out, of course, but many will without more clarity.

Terribly communicated once again from the government.

No they have not - but Hancock has made a vague statement about 'law changes' being put through in the next few days. Our government are the very embodiment of a very slow whack-a-mole player.

I heard about a potential £20k fine. Yeah that’ll happen. You can break someone’s jaw, avoid prison and pay £200 costs and a victim surcharge.

I don't know what Eid is, but there was a massive turnout in Lesda for the BML thingymajig.

Large extended families living in cramped terraced housing will not help.

Definition: Eid al-Fitr, also called the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", is a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

What it means in terms of the pandemic:- Large gatherings of extended Muslim families for a spectacular feast.
