    Nuno Da Costa

Strasbourg CF or forward. Ryan Mendes' mate from the Cape Verde.

    https://www.dna.fr/sport/2020/01/15/...ulait-da-costa

    We certainly looking in France.

Racing side: Nottingham Forest wanted Da Costa
The English club trained by Sabri Lamouchi approached its Strasbourg counterpart to discuss a transfer from Nuno Da Costa. But the attacker's knee injury in December froze negotiations, no doubt definitely.

Happy to see us pursue the French market, personally.

Although I know the square root of 0 about this guy.

I still think that to do nothing (other than bring Tyler back) is an option this January.
Not if you want to push for autos, if you accept playoffs then yes you could do that.

in the case of Abraham, it wasn't January.

The summer and winter markets are completely different.

I'd probably say shelling out dollar in Jan results in more failures tbh, especially if you're expecting immediate impact. Loans present far less risk.

Of course. I wasnt suggesting he'd scored 25 in 3 months.

The point is bringing in loans is a regular feature of the teams who do well in the Championship.

Our terrible record with loan signings is also one of many reasons we haven't troubled the top 6 much over the last decade. We need to be more savvy in the loan market if we are going to compete, the fact that not one of the loan signings we made in the summer has impressed this season is really poor, hopefully it'll be a different story this time around.

Colback, Jokic and Oliveira were good. I'm struggling to think of many more from recent times.

I forgot about Colback and the other two did well , I am sure someone could do a list from the last 10 years of shitness.
Not only loans though some of our permanent signings have been just as shit.

I actually forgot some of those names ever played for us. Well, Teixeira and Federici never did.

Wague was fairly decent, actually. Some proper shite in there though...

Had to add 2015/16 in there just for the shiteness of Liam Trotter & 1 or 2 others. Names we all forgot about

A few defenders away from being able to name a 'shit loan signing' XI and subs!

Just the thought of a strike partnership of Mir and Macheda is enough to make me shudder...

I remember watching Ebecilio at Cohen's comeback match away at Barnsley for the u23 , He was probably the worst player on the pitch and got the hook at half time, Think a week or so later his loan was terminated.
We really need better recruitment as we have been had by agents for the last few years.
No more pointless loans, I want quality not quantity.

Our approach to loan signings seems to be a bit of a scatter gun one. I wish we'd just make one or two quality loan signings per season rather than sign 6 or 7 and most of them turning out to be shite.

Byram was the frustrating one. He was a real class act. Shame he spent most of the season injured. What might have been...

Didn't he get diagnosed with some neurological disease straight after, which explained why he was so bad

He had Guillain-Barre syndrome, but it was a while after he left us, and considering it usually has a rapid onset, or is usually a post-viral consequence, it is unlikely he was affected by it when we had him; he was just shit

Markus Babbel had the same thing, and came back playing, but I seem to recall another player who didn't.

    Aro Muric - Wank
John Bostock - Hints of Wank
Alfa Semedo - Raw, but relatively wank.
Rafa Mir - Wanker than wank
    Gil Dias - Wank
Diogo Goncalves - Hints of talent, but wank.
Jack Colback - Ginger but he was decent at football
    Sam Byram - Biscuit
Saidy Janko - One good game, mediocre in the rest.
Leo Bonatini - Wanker than Wank
    Pele - I rated him.
Molla Wague - Should've signed him as ST cover the man was lethal.
Kieran Dowell - Good half season but Karanka stole his Pokémon Cards or something so spent the rest of his time doing nowt.
Adam Federici - A pub Quiz Answer
    Tobias Figuieredo - Good Player
Costel Pantilimon - Brain the size of a peanut but could stop a ball.
Lee Tomlin - should've signed him permanently
    Jack Colback - See above.
Hildeberto Perreira - Cult Hero in the making but didn't have it to cut it in the championship
Pajtim Kasami - saw him outside the Nottingham contemporary once. We locked eyes and I got to say if he can shag Nicole Sherzinger we've all got a chance.
Nicolao Dumitru - Worst Player to play for forest of the 2010s
Aaron Tshibola - don't even remember
Joao Teixeira - Contest winner who cleaned the dressing room before kick off
    Ross McCormack - F A T
    Kyle Ebecilio - Wank
Chris O'Grady - His signing signalled probably how low we were at that time.
    Ryan Mendes - Was quick.
    Nelson Oliveira - good player.
    Jonny Williams - Underwhelming
Liam Trotter - fucking hell we signed him?
    Bojan Jokic - good player
Gary Gardner - Good Player 1st spell, poor second.
    Federico Macheda- Hahahah fuck off.
