This is going to be like watching a man pleasuring himself in front of a mirror....

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

He's a winner. His passion. Making sure we weren't a soft touch. Turning average players into good players and good players into great players. His record that guarantees a top-six finish in this division.

Since he left us he must have been doing something to pass the time. What?

There's a limit to the amount of times you can count your money or print out stuff in funny fonts.

A fine selection mate : cheers:

That sense of team unity under Davies was great too. What a thoroughly likeable side he built. Even his training staff felt like they belonged at Forest.

What great fit. What good times

Slightly regretting creating this thread if I'm honest. LTFL don't provide sick bags.

Ned Kelly, Julian Darby, Pete Williams all great guys.

Good times indeed. Made ya proud to be a Forest supporter. The siege mentality.

Sacked by Forest twice more than Steve McClaren. An incredible feat.

You don't get sacked for results sometimes.

Billy was sacked the first time after losing to Swansea in the play-offs. Don't forget that McGugan hit the bar and Earnie hit a post in injury-time at 2-1.

Second sacking coincided with a horrendous injury list, he left Forest a place and just two points outside the play-off zone after an eight-game winless run. That was in March. I reckon he would have still have got us into the play-offs again that season if he was kept on.

From the outside it appeared Billy was sacked for his personality rather than the results he delivered (worst East Midlands derby result in over a century notwithstanding), publicly criticising his bosses weekly, and acting like he ran the place just like Clough but without the charisma or success.

The KING has an impressive 7 Championship Manager of the Month awards.

Only behind Warnock and Chris Hughton.

What a man! What a manager!

SEVEN?!? Holy awesome that IS superb. We've been so lucky to have him grace us with his being. Such a shame he was cursed with a self-harming CEO & then owner.

Well done Billy, and thanks for all the good times
