I read Cardiff want him. Makes sense seeing as he’s 6 foot 6, him and Flint could just lump it at Kieffer Moore all game.

Made one mistake on Friday which could easily have led to a goal. Fine margins huh? Had Figs made it you can be sure they would have scored.

He also made one goal-saving brave and brilliant block.
Fair do's... when he makes mistakes as fatal and as frequent as Figs, then I think he would come in for some criticism.
At the moment, I think he is more reliable, and his forward movement is brilliant.
And I don't think you will see him bullied by the big lads too often.
How he would fare against someone like Rob Earnshawe, or Tony Woodcock is a different question all together... hopefully, he won't come up against too many of their ilk

Don’t get me wrong, I’m far from criticising him, he’s an excellent signing. Just pointing out the fine margins: Figs had a very good game against the Sheep yet one half clearance and he’s punished.

He's on now for Scotland, if anybody is interested.

I was watching Scotland match. He did OK when he came on. Netherlands were pressing for an equaliser so he was under a bit of of pressure and he did well.

Scotland played really well until the started making all the 25 substitutions.

This is why I don't care too much about internationals especially friendlies.

The players, managers etc, just don't seem to see it as important, almost as if it's done out of duty rather than pride.

Like the fans, I'm sure players think there is just too much football these days, particularly in the media. It must feel like it's just another day and just another game.

With dedicated social media channels, TV and radio saturation and even the print media weighing in, we're engulfed in sport and primarily football.

I'm glad I can switch off and go and do something different. As the weather has dramatically turned, the allotment is blooming and I can retire to the peace and tranquillity of the countryside and let the highly paid prima donnas contest the weird and wonderful Euro2020. Held in 2021 and seemingly scattered to the four winds.

    Default Scott McKenna

I’ve now got this image in my head of VP, looking a bit like Jack Hawkins in The Cruel Sea, contentedly sitting on his allotment, smoking a pipe, as the world passes slowly by around him.

    Brilliant.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

TBH you can't blame them. The prime concern in the England friendlies seems to be avoiding injuries, which is ironic given the pulled muscle for the Liverpool right back (which will probably turn out to be a blessing as he is an awful defender and would be targeted by teams good enough to do so in an international tournament).

Just need to get on to the tournament now-my prediction is that it will double Jack Grealishs value, he's a very good player of the sort that looks incrementally better the higher the level and they are very hard to find....

I think he will play against England as I think Scotland will play with 3 centre backs in that match.

McKenna isn't the only Forest Connection with Scotland. Stevie Reid is also part of the Coaching Staff.
