Its worth a debate and I totally agree the board deserve the most blame for being so poor at getting the right people in at the right times. Its just I dont think enough people look at Lamouchi's failings for where we are now.

Lamouchi had a much larger say on transfers this season yet the recruitment team and board get a higher proportion of the blame and myself included dont give enough culpability to Lamouchi. He got most of the players he wanted and yes admittedly got a few he didnt but he was after that many players.

Board and Recruitment take a higher portion of the blame definetly but Lamouchi I dont think gets his fair share. I am still baffled why Lamouchi wanted Freeman when his style was ultra defensive and required workhorses in the midfield, the signing of Bachirou fitted his MO a lot more. Also I dont understand why he didnt do more to replace Ameobi as a starter when he needed pace on the counter.

Disagree with me fine but I am more interested to see how you apportion blame for this predicament we are in not memes

Being linked as a replacement for Nuno at Wolves.

Apparently was lined up to take over last season but Nuno ended up staying because of lockdown.

That's interesting. I wonder how well he would do with that Premier League pressure?

Having said that, he would probably thrive. Got a lot of time for Sabri.

That Wayne Veysey has been writing stories about us for the past couple of seasons on that site and I don't think I've ever seen one of his "exclusives" be correct.

Sabri at Wolves? Could be fun watching that.

Doubt there's anything in it, but would love to see him get a chance there.

Wolves does have a good recruitment team. John Marshall, who I would credit with finding Antonio and Britt during Pearce reign has been director of recruitment for wolves since Pearce was fired by fawaz. Who knows, with the right players, his ultra defensive approach might work. Grabban might get a chance to finish his career in the epl.
    Go sabri go.

It'd be interesting to see if he plays any more expansively given players capable of making that happen.

I reckon he will, Sabri clearly saw our team was ok at best and set up in a way to get the best out of the team.

Sabri has only ever been a counter attack coach which really should suit Wolves. Their squad is built for that and Nuno played that first year of the premier league.

Whilst I agree with some of the mentioned views I think a job like the Wolves one would be a step too far at this point in his career and he wouldn't last the season imo. Way too limited

I agree with that partly definetly but I think the squad is custom made for his style that his one dimension version of management would work well with that squad. The problem comes with his recruitment skills because to be honest I don’t think Lamouchi is very good at picking players to sign that’s my opinion.

The problem is that when things need switching around heís too inflexible.
And thatís even more essential in the prem where issues are mercilessly exposed.
So I could see him doing well for a 1/3 of a season but then getting completely unstuck when injuries or lack of form dictate a modification in style.
Iíve felt for a few seasons now that in the prem your only chance when youíre on the ropes at the bottom is to come out swinging and score plenty of goals. If you sit back too much teams at the bottom seem to get on the end of bigger and bigger kickings.

Just read that Sabri recently decided to step down from his managerial position with Al Duhail in Qatar, Bordeaux managed to survive in Ligue 1 and are about to finalize a take over with Sabri rumoured to be on their shortlist of coaches

I hope he gets that job, would be a decent chance for him to get success again in ligue 1.
