Between the likes of him & Freeman, the quality of loans will have gone up considerably since last season.

    Encouraging.

    Time running out?
I don’t see it that way.
Lots of wingers available / surplus to requirements - Atsu, Grosicki, El Ghazi, Murphy, Wilson etc etc
Very few clubs - bearing in mind they can only sell to EFL - with dosh.
Going to be an interesting next 48 hours.

Aye, there's a few decent names in that lot Robbo.

I agree with Robbo, teams in the Prem will be either looking to push some youngsters out on loan or sell off fringe players, and the market what they have to do that is limited.

Harry Wilson is certainly one I'd be pushing the boat out for.

    Would be a stellar signing.

Think I'd drop Ameobi and play: Lolley Freeman Wilson - just let them all roam

    Default [BUPA] Harry Wilson

„Conceded a goal that wasn’t your fault? Personal injury caused by the ineptitude of your back-four?“

„Then call Lolley Freeman Wilson today, and we will laugh uproariously and take the piss out of you, no-laugh, no-fee!“

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I'd get 2 wingers and drop them both.

Would take Wilson over Knockers, although my concern would be Liverpool recalling him in Jan to find a buyer.

Everything from testimonials from other clubs to the traing vids out currently suggest Hughton will want to get the ball out wide & deliver balls in to the box as his stock tactic.

Unless he's relying solely on his Fbs, Id suggest he'll want our two best crosses of the ball in wide positions.

    Currently Freeman & Ameobi.

Agree with you though, I think we'll end up with two new wingers under Hughton.

Perhaps Lolley competing with Freeman for the more central role, with two new wingers coming in?

I can see us signing 2 more players before the deadline either way, whether that be 1 winger and someone to compete with Freeman or 2 new wingers.

I think that's a good shout Ash, but this club has been far to reliant on Lolley for far too long, and I hope he gets some time off to recover properly from his shin splints too.

Shin splints should take 4 weeks to recover from properly. If he's training now I'd suggest that injury has cleared up.

As long as Freeman stays fit and we sign a couple of players before the deadline, that should hopefully mean that we have enough cover in those positions to give Lolley some more time to get properly match fit.

Liverpool will be disappointed they didn't get a sale already so this will absolutely happen wherever he goes on loan.

Not going to happen. No one will be agreeing a deal which would inc a possible recall in less than 3 months time. A buyers market - if he goes it will be for the full season.
In this case Liverpool are not holding all the aces.

Liverpool will be looking for some commitment to buy from the club they loan to. Little chance of getting that from a Championship club though with a £20m price tag.

Au contraire: shin splints need complete rest for 2 to 4 weeks by when light exercise may be possible. Full recovery can take between 3 and 6 months.
If pain is experienced exercise should be stopped immediately and further rest taken.

liverpool is looking for a 7 figure loan fee.

1 million loan fee with a view to a 19 million buy fee if we get promoted.

£24k per game, assuming he played all 41 remaining games after Blackburn.

Seems excessive for any champ club?

20 Grand a week for a player who’s scored 15 goals in his only full season in this league? In today’s market that’s probably cheap

A million loan fee isn't expensive, but it sounds like they want a deal which involves a sale.
