Given that he has started every game for West Brom since the turn of the year, I think its safe to say this one is dead in the water.
I have just one question.
Why isn't BUPA in the title for this guy?
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Can we Prefix the Ravel thread with (FHO) now?
Doesn’t prove whether he is or isn’t good enough, just means he is in favour with Allardyce.
I don’t think his quality is ever in question, more how fit he is at the minute (as we have been stung by players who haven’t had many minutes in their legs over the past year) and that it can be perceived he really doesn’t want to come here.

Unlike Ravel, not the composer, this is a tricky one. A transfer that could be argued either way depending on your point of view.
Apparently transfers can be all about timing and this one is no different.
Testimonials coming out of WBA suggest he looks sharp, questions being asked why he hasnt been played, Allardyce trusts him in a scrap etc. Fitness wont be the issue, more he's wanted at a higher level.
Great if theres better deals to be had for the longer term, but he scores 1 in 5 at this level & is clearly an upgrade on Lolley, Ameobi & Mighten.
I'm just keen we don't cut our nose off because he didn't roll over & die last time we came knocking.
I don’t think anyone expects players these days to be jumping at the chance to sign for Forest. But like what has been said, he had the opportunity to sign here for reportedly more money than West Brom offered, and he chose WBA. He then had a chance to sign in the summer when Billic made it clear he wasn’t in his plans, he hung around till the last day of the window hoping for a better offer and the deal went tits up as the paperwork got sent in late. You would expect if we were still interested it would have got done when the January window opened but we really haven’t heard a peep about it.
He’s a good player, but I don’t see much point in bringing players in who don’t want to be here. We have enough of that type already.

Rumours in Greece that we are also interested. I don't particularly trust them, as I didn't in the summer.
Difficult to believe Hull was at the top of his list either. His contribution there speaks for itself though.
Most players dream high in such a short career, the kid that comes here & tells you he's desperate to play for Forest is likely just using us as a stepping stone. We're not a big draw for anyone.
Irrespective of the fact Grosicki hasnt tripped over himself to come so far, theres nothing to suggest your not getting the ultimate pro if he does.
To be fair Hull were in the Premiership at the time with Marco Silva in charge if I remember rightly? That will always be a massive draw, even if Hull is a bit of a pig.
I think outside of the academy kids (who you usually have a genuine passion for the club thanks to GB), I'm not daft enough to believe any player to be fair. They will say the usual stuff which gives fans the warm fuzzies but I take it with a pinch of salt.
Agree with the last line, there is nothing to suggest he wouldn't give his all if he did come. He has his own career to think about aswell. But it is getting him here in the first place.
He could come here and play well. Get the nod for the Euros and go all Jara or whatever that fullback was called.
That said, a bit of a purple patch from him could see us safe this season.
I'd get him in if possible as he's better than what we have atm. And atm what we have is staring relegation in the face

Not in the WBA squad this evening, the same Polish journo who was linking him with us in the summer Tweeted this before tonight's team was even announced:
"Kamil Grosicki today outside the team for the game against City. It seems that the previous two chances were the "shop window". From what I hear, the WBA is ready to give it away for free six months before the contract expires."
Bit weird considering he played quite well in those games. I don't think he'll end up here though.
There's plenty of time for this to develop.
