Can’t see Wasps, Saracens or Bath being interested.
Don’t think the others could afford him.

Maybe he means the Scottish Premiership.

More likely the U.K. Premiership; I mean, Boris Johnson has done such a dreadful job, perhaps the tricky front-man fancies his chances at No. 10 Downing Street?

I mean, it’s not like he could do any worse, is it?

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Of topic, but at the moment we seem to have such a duff selection of politicians; the whole lot need dumping and some decent transfers arranged.

Was thinking the same thing watching his two goals early on. Real poacher and really sharp.

On paper the ideal striker to add to the Grabban & Murphy mix. Gives us a different option, prob more suited to MON's style of play, won't expect to walk into the first team, and he'll start hitting his peak as Grabbans' career starts to tail off in a few years.

    Thoughts?

    Congo?
He's even hitting his peak as Grabban's career is starting to falter.

Grabbans just off the back of a 20 goal season, hes done everything but score, the goals will come for him, his career isn't "starting to falter", if we'd spent 10 mil on Toney, it would hve meant one of him or Grabban riding the bench, which is something we can afford to be doing, given the wages both of them would be on.

3 goals in the last 15 at 32 years old? I'd say now would be a good time to have Toney.

Also, Toney wasn't worth anywhere near 10 mil when I suggested him. This was nearly 2 years ago. I think his speculated value was around 2-3m at the time?

Ultimately I know my shit fuckloads more than Anigo, and the posters who had his back.

I think we need to get a good look at Taylor before pining for Toney Alf.

No pining mate, just making the point that "Alf likes lower league....ahem....."dross"" for a reason.

    2-3m on Toney or Soudani/Da Costa/Jenks etc

It's a nice day to, so took the opportunity to be a bellend too

He'd have joined Brentford over us, anyway.

It’s easy when you name your own price Alf. Someone on twitter suggested Toney could be bought for 1m+ in May 2019 and Macanthony’s response was literally “FUCK OFF”

When it's the price they're being touted at, I think it's fair.

He wasn't gonna fetch anywhere near 10m back then. Celtic only offered 4m well over a year later.

It took Toney all of 2019 and most of 2020 to get that 10m price tag. We'd have landed him for far less had we been in the mix Jan 2019.

Why would Posh have sold him for 3m mid-season, 6 months after signing him for 650k? Not exactly their M.O is it?

To make a significant, quick & easy profit. I agree not their typical MO though.

For every Toney you've got a Marcus Maddison...Jack Marriot etc

Success rate currently at 33% Alf, up your game

33% is slightly more than 3 out of 10. 6 out of 10 is the benchmark

Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.
