Thread: All Things Bond

I think Barry should be the next Bond villain.

He would be no match to Barry's superlative levels of cynicism.

Daniel Craig as best Bond, I loved the darkness and inner demons he brought to the character.

    Casino Royale as best movie.

Jaws was the best Villain, used to shit my pants when he came on screen.

And Eva Green cause her face is bloody beautiful.....

And my Villain name would be Ram Puncher!!

Worst movie was Quantum of Solace, after Casino Royale it was a mega letdown.

Goldeneye is probably my favourite film, although an honorary mention for the Man with the Golden Gun and Casino Royale.

Tom Hardy would make a great Bond, but he'd be make an even better villain.

Oh yes!!!! He’d make a fantastic villain. Especially a Jewish one with a Brummie accent.

Gerard Butler and Tom Hardy! What a dilemma. I wouldn’t know whether to be a goodie or a baddie. Maybe both!

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

You can be the villain's plaything who Bond "rescues", best of both worlds!

    Default All Things Bond

Talking of Brummie Accents, I’ve always thought Cillian Murphy would make a cracking Bond villain.

Especially after his turn as the Scarecrow in Christopher Nolan‘s Batman movies.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

A View To A Kill is my favourite.

Up until recently it was the only one I had seen on the cinema.

Duran Duran, Grace Jones and Christopher Walken. Great combo.

The themes tunes are better than the movies in general.

Drove past Hoveton Hall outside Norwich yesterday, the home of the Blofeld family. Ian Flemming was a great friend of Henry Blofeld's father and named Bond's arch enemy after him.

Had a look back at the thread to see if I had posted and I had.

Amazed that no-one pulled me up when I picked a female as the next Bond. Whenever I've mentioned her previously I've been questioned, a lot.

I think they do, it's just people don't really notice when I post outside of the guitar thread.
