Great book here for any bread making bakers. Interesting tips.

I do like a nice loaf of fresh bread. We still have bakeries here in most of the villages. Amazing how much it can vary from shop to shop. I've got my favourite,s marked out. Can't beat a slice of fresh bread, olive oil and a dash of salt. Heaven.

    Default What ya eating?

Homemade Steak and Onion pie served with creamed mashed potato and garden peas and a chilled glass of Pino Grigio.

I think 'odd' is a good thing. Oddness shows originality, uniqueness and a desire to be different from the masses. Oddness is, maybe, only deemed 'odd' by the majority who are considered less odd but only by their own blinkered observations and understanding. Oddness should never be criticised but be encouraged to nurture, develop individualism and to explore the mind rather than conform to expectation and 'normality'. Many of the world's greatest works of art and prose were born from those minds many considered to be 'odd'.

Might have been a while but the two smaller pies look rather suggestive.

Strangely we have brought the ingredients to make a good pie tomorrow. They look delicious!

Do you put gravy in with them? If so what do you use?

I'm going to attempt to make a chicken tikka pie tomorrow.

Yes, a beef gravy sympathetically seasoned with spice and thickened with cornflower.

It was. Definitely cooking it again. Served it with a chunk of crusty ciabatta to mop up all the lovely juices.

Not sure the distance would work though. Are you willing to move back to the U.K...in fact, worse...willing to move to Peterborough?
