Of course he is; he is one of the two midfielders left because of the tragic delay of transfers.

... and he was rather good (we thrashed the Swiss 4-0, having lost about ten clear chances as well).

    Ok ok ok....

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

I’m glad for you. I think his style will be more suiting of anywhere but here.

He'll probably stay in the roster, because we're understuffed. We'll sign a DM who'll be the partner of Natkho, there's a young Frenchman who'll be the third in the hierarchy and a couple of other choices, but there's probably also room for Bouch.

Well done lads, Burnley & The Turkish side drew 0-0. Which one do you fancy?

I would rather face Burnley if I were you too. They are probably a better side but places like Turkey are horrible places to go and they have some good players.

Plus, if Burnley have a bad start to the season Dyche will no doubt take his eye off Europe whereas it’ll be everything for Istanbul

Once again he stressed to the press that his stay at Nottingham helped him a lot as a player.

I liked Bouch. As others have said he wasn’t mobile enough for England but he was honest and had an eye for a pass.

What are your thoughts on Dyche’s post game comments? Fair or sour grapes?

The hosts largely dominated the second half, regaining the lead quickly through Andreas Bouchalakis' header.......

Can we have him back now !

Bouchalakis is mobile; he's just very slow and can't take the exhausting rhythm of British football twice a week. I have a feeling that this year, given that he will be a backup now that we have finally acquired the two quality midfielders desperately needed, he will prove good for us whenever he plays (not very often).

Was just about to come on and say the same. Seemed like the pace of the championship has given him that extra half second on the ball in leagues with less physicality.

Happy for him. Met him in a coffee shop in Notts once, seemed like a genuinely nice bloke

For me, and you’re right about his speed (or lack of) he did show the ability to control games from deep in midfield, mostly by good use of the ball, somewhat like David Vaughan (before his legs went).

He’d be a good option late on off the bench, if you’re leading a match and want to bolster your midfield and keep possession.

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

He's fast becoming a player I feel sorry for. As I've mentioned before, he was never really liked by the fans, although four or five consecutive managers of Olympiacos wanted him on the team and even used him as a starter. As soon as things were beginning to shape up for him, year after year, he either tore a muscle badly from which he never recovered or had other injuries.

He was finally sent to you for a change of scenery. Everybody, including me, initially thought that he would not be good for you. He started brightly, but, again, his lack of muscular health for consecutive matches sent him to oblivion.

He came back to us, with the media never even talking about him, the fans grumbling, and the club circulating rumours that he would be sent on loan in order to appease the fans. He stayed, because the midfield transfers came too late, and he had the club's European future at his feet. He saw the job done with two decent performances, and he was excellent in the last league match.

And now, just when he seems perfectly fit and in very good form, he finds himself in a club with four mdifielders above him in the hierarchy, including a certain Yaya Toure. He will probably never wear our shirt again.

And next summer the same story will start again.

He'll always have Wolves away, the second half of Sheffield United at home and two blooters versus Brentford to tell the grandkids about. Stuff that dreams are made of.

We've brought some very good midfielders late in the transfer window, so everyone thought Bouchalakis would never play anymore.

And yet he's been a starter in all matches without exception and he now starts in the premiere of the Europa League group stage.
