Here is the current CONMEBOL table:

Chile have a real chance of making it to Qatar if they can keep up their current level of performances.

Ben Brereton Daz at the World Cup?

I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism

Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.

Would have loved to have had both him and Grabban here as an option this year. Then I would be getting excited about making the playoffs.

Glad to see that Tabla de Posiciones has the games played in the first column and the points total at the end. On our TV coverage of international games recently I've noticed that the first column is points gained, contrary to over a hundred years of printing league tables.

    Why?

Apparently, Senor Brereton Diaz is a January target for Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion, who are considering a substantial bid for the striker.

    Bet we haven't got a sell-on?

Never confirmed but we got 8m up-front so I think the likelihood is there's no sell on.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

There was a post article that said we did have a sell on clause when we originally sold him.

I am pretty sure we got a decent sell on clause included, that's why it felt like a really good deal for the club.

Had it been negotiated under the al-Hasawi tenure I'd certainly expect not, but I'd assume that Vrentzos would have ensured a clause was included in the deal?

From the post when he was sold.

    https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport...forest-1946184

Ben Brereton has completed his loan move to Blackburn Rovers in a deal that could be worth more than 7m to Nottingham Forest.

The 19-year-old will join their Championship rivals permanently in January, after finding himself down the pecking order at the City Ground.

But Forest could benefit financially if Brereton is a success at Ewood Park, with several additional add-on clauses in the deal, including a sell-on clause on any profit Blackburn might make on any future sale.
The general sell on of profit would probably be about 20% (obvious guesswork) but if he goes for the number reported that would be another 2.6m

If that's the case I don't think we can be disappointed with our overall business here. We will pocket >10M for a player who has taken several years to get to the level he hinted at from early on and like a few others on here I am not convinced that this will be a permanent elevation in his status as a striker. I just think he lacks a bit of pace to be really effective at Prem level but time will tell and overall I don't think we can be disappointed with a 10M profit (which incidentally is more than Blackburn will get!)

Let's not forget Ben is still really young, he's still only what, 22 years old? This season he seems to have developed into the scorer we all knew he did at academy level, Mowbray took him out of the spotlight after a big money move so he could learn his game, he has come off the confidence of his international experience and is one of the top scorers this season, it's not surprising they are looking at a young English-born international striker who is looking good in the division below.

Goalscorers usually do make the step up. Vardy, Phillips, where they have the instinct to get into the right positions and finish, that can't be taught really, he will go to a lower PL club for a lot of money.

Oh Im not forgetting his age and Im happy for all parties really, particularly Ben who is going to get to the top level. Ill take back what says about pace because the simple fact is no one knows how he will adjust to the prem. All we can say for B sure us the boys in tge academy will have prepared him well.
Good luck to him and its nice to pocket a few quid!
