„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

He has a hell of a goal record for a young centre back.
22 year old, can play CB, RB and DM, full international, on a free. Beautiful.
The shape of Finns to come? (Sorry...)
More chance of Larry Lamb
Hopefully the Championship forwards this season will be like Lams to the slaughter.

Lam the Ram slayer!
Hopefully Thomas is not on the lam. If he's good we'd miss him if the cops caught up with him.

But can he play left back?
"I've been blessed with many things in this life: an arm like a damn rocket, a c**k like a burmese python, and the mind of a f**king scientist" - Kenny Powers
Seems able to play across the back four and Defensive Midfield.
More chance of signing Roast Potatoes and Lam
When a player comes in for free it means there's more of an element of 'punt' than there is when a fee is paid. I'd expect a need was confirmed for players in his position and he rated as 'well worth a go'. I'd not expect him necessarily to be the finished article, by any means. Hell of a prospect though, from his write-up.
This new transfer acquisition panel seems to be working a treat. Which is evidently better than working a Pleat.
Wonder where they intend playing him as seen centre-back, left-back and midfield in various reports.
Yes I'm wondering where he'll fit in. Straight swap for Wilson as a ball playing centre half that takes a few risks perhaps? Hopefully we're farming out Fox if we get this guy in, and it also gives us a bit of cover for Lichaj as well. Be good if the younger centre halves are part of his plans.
Interesting.. I am glad we are not going down the old sign a household name route , The best players are the ones nobody has heard of, Just look at Vardy, Payet etc.
We seem to be getting things done the correct way this time , Can I get excited yet ? Or should after 42 years I know better ?
I don't think this lad is the Finnish article but he's got potential.
If he's as good as they say helsinki some opposing attackers this year.

Hails from a league not renowned for its physical approach, Lam is a similar stature to Mancienne. Most successful CB in the Championship tend to be the big, uncompromising ones.
If we need another CB its not obvious, and with DM one of the most pivotal positions these days, I think we need some specialist experience, size & leadership there.
His RB cover will be useful though & maybe Montanier has other plans. Looking forward to seeing some of them for width & midfield.

Our defence situation will look like this then:
RB:
Lichaj
CB:
Mills, Mance, Hobbs, Lam, Worrall/Iacvotti
LB:
Pinillos, Jokic(?)
I wouldn't mind Hobbs being shifted if possible as our 2nd choice CB shouldn't be on as much as Hobbs probably is and a constant injury worry. Then maybe sign/loan another CB in.
And top class Defensive Midfielders don't have to be physical Giants either.
Claude Makalele certainly wasn't.
