I'm all for EM to be a successful shipping magnate. If he's doing well at the day job, he'll not be too bothered by us. It's only when the whole pack of cards threatens to fall down that he'll worry about the small change at the CG.

I am not sure I should be cirulating unsubstantiated rumours, especially since the man himself tried to get a restraining order for the paper that wrote this (and I don’t want to see my bakery bombed or something), but if these rumours are true you probably have no reason to worry that he worries about Forest lately. He (allegedly, I repeat) may have separated from his wife of many many years because he hooked up with a singer (no, not someone half his age as is customary: he’s 54, she’s 51).

It seems clear to me that Marinakis junior is being groomed to become a hands-on owner someday. His Twitter account is almost exclusively Forest-related (and his Twitter status puts NFFC before Olympiacos, which is quite surprising for a hardcore fan), and he seems not to miss a single Forest match anymore. Moreover, he seems to be living in the UK most of the time, since he's running part of dad's shipping business from London, unlike Marinakis senior, who seems to be in Greece most of the time (and has other things in his mind, as I mentioned above).

To be honest if you were that wealthy and had the choice, you’d really be living in Greece because better weather and better Kebaps and Gyros.

But, all power to the young man, let us hope he is the heir-apparent.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

From my observations, you're right that he attends every home game. Unlike most other occupants of the CG directors' box, he's also quite animated.

He attended pretty much every match a few years ago but then disappeared, assumingly work related.

It doesn't seem to be a Fawaz Jnr type situation, MM seems clued up like his old man.

I wonder if that ties in with Dane being in London this week?

Very possibly. I also wonder if there is a link to the lad from Spurs that we are after.

I'd imagine he'll start out small, perhaps supplying briquettes as part of a scheme to burn some of the lower-key bakeries, let's say a West Cornwall Pasty Company van inside Nottingham station.

After that he'll move up, probably going all Phil Mitchell and firing a popular Greggs in the city centre.

You have to work your way up.

Yeah. It was all very strange (as was everything in that time).

He was too young to get properly involved but I think he got the boardroom named after him, and he was obsessed with Lady Gaga.

He’s welcome to Greggs but leave West Cornwall pasties out of it.

We are renowned for making foreigners welcome. Just ask Priti Patel.

I DO NOT remember this part of his reign haha, must’ve been real early where I didn’t pay attention so much.

I like how EMjr is said to be animated in the stands, hope our fans make a song for him or something.

I can remember a lot of young Al-Hasawi stuff on twitter. It was almost like his dad was trying to force masculinity on him at times.

Evangelos should be counting the pennies to buy Spence.

Now that MM's suspected role is confirmed, I wonder if he's had any say in the restructuring of the behind the scenes setup. He's too young to be making decisions on his own (I think he's only 24 or something), but his dad prides himself on involving him in the family businesses from a very young age (he has said in an interview that he even brought him to board meetings since MM was a schoolboy).

Dane Murphy has said in the long interview you posted the other day that it was Vrentzos who approached him first, but with Vrentzos out of the picture, EM will certainly need someone he can trust over there.

In any case, the young man enjoyed himself today: https://twitter.com/mil7iadis/status...814475269?s=20

The post are just repeating what Dan Taylor said in the week in the Athletic, that he has a prominent role now. No details.

Whoever's making decisions it's working anyway, club is in a great spot ATM

Ah, OK, I missed that. I should have realized that the chances of the Post having a scoop are minimal.
