Default LTLF Golf Day (NOW POSTPONED 3/2/09)

Hi all, I have been thinking about this for a while. Im not sure how many golfers we have on the forum but was thinking that maybe I could organise a golf day. I am posting this as a bit of a feeler to see how much interest is shown.

If you would be interested in playing (at a local nottingham course) please reply to the thread stating your interest.

I will monitor the response and if we have enough replys I will try setting a day/date.

    Thanks

    Oscar

Note: If you are keen but dont have clubs etc I have a few spare sets that I could lend out.

I'm awful at golf, and it doesn't appeal much - but I'd quite happily wander around with a drink throwing insults at Stratty if the weather is conducive!

Should I be in work then I'll be up for this.

I own a set of clubs, but they've not been used since Oct '07. And I was shit then.

I would if I wasn't absolutely terrible at it. I'd love to be able to do golf.

I'd be interested in this, as long as its not somewhere too expensive. I've not played for 18 months but it's not too difficult to pick up again.

Or that virtual golf place on St James St so we can get drunk.

Better still we could all pile round to Oscars and play Golf on his Wii lol

If I'm up in the area, I'll be up for it, for sure.

I'm not very good at all, but I'm definitely up for it.

I was thinking maybe somewhere like Edwalton or Trent Lock as these are pay as you play courses and dont require official handicaps (All hackers welcome) and dont have dress codes. The cost for 18 holes is about £12 ish.

Sounds fun. I played a whole round once, during some school activity day, and took about 300 shots

Quality, for some reason I've never got around to playing at Trent Lock, but it looks a decent site there.

Trent Lock want golf shoes and proper bag and smart clothes when I played there in September.

Edwalton is much more relaxed though.

I am definatley up for it though, haven't reguarly for a while though.

In a sport I would more than likely beat you at your insults would be most welcome as I beat you.

I wouldn't play, I'd just throw things at you when you were concentrating

    I'll drive the buggy!

Hate golf as a sport but would probably be up for the social side.

    Shocking behaviour!

Not for throwing objects but for wasting perfectly good Maltesers.

I was actually going to bring some disposable gloves and throw rolled up balls of fox poo at you, just pass them off as Maltesers.
