„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Being as he is a Spanish Fascist, he will have to bring in some Foreigners to help him, and is therefore forming the Codnor Legion as we speak...
Or was that Hinton?
Who was a very good winger, but at Forest he was always in direct competition with Ian Moore, and there was only going to be one winner out of those two. It was just a case of "This town ain't big enough for both of us". No squad rotations in those days, and only 1 substitute.
I think it was just from his white boots and his curly blonde hair. Even the Derby fans called him Gladys, so it was a sort of affectionate nick name.
He had tragedy in his life, as his young son died when he was only about 8 or 9 (can't remember), and he briefly retired from Football, only to emerge a few years later in the North American League, where he is treated as a Football Legend, not only for his playing, but for all the work he did "behind the scenes" trying to establish "Soccer" in America.
He also suffered from Cancer later in life, but I believe he has recovered now. He's another player that must be in his late 70's by now.
I saw Alan Hinton play only a few times.I thought his 'Gladys' nickname came from the fact that he didn't like
to tackle. But as Cloughie later said 'I didn't sign him to tackle'! A great crosser of the ball with a powerful
shot,I think BC improved his game in a similar manner to Robbo.
I see that he got fired last year for a case of "Tweet Fingers" - https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/...ed-over-tweet/

Here’s hoping and maybe Rotherham can move to within 3 points if them with 3 games in hand still.
Was having a quick look earlier their run in is tough compared to the sides around them - they can’t score, I think there is only 2 sides in the entire EFL that have scored less and they are Grimsby and Southend who are 23rd and 24th in League 2.
And I know it’s fantasy booking but IF somehow Rotherham can win 2 of their 4 games in hand that puts them level with Derby. And they still have to play Brum and Wednesday with a trip to Swansea in the middle in their last 3 games.
It’s going to be interesting

You'll probably get an idea of what Rotherham can do by the end of Sunday as they play QPR tomorrow at home, Coventry at home on Thursday, and Birmingham at home on Sunday, while Derby play Blackburn away on Saturday. If results go right for Rotherham this week they could reach 18th by Sunday.
I’m really liking this Alonso chap. He’s the Spanish Fawaz.
