I hope the solicitors are nice and expensive

Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

I just love this thread, it's the first thing I look for when visiting this forum
If they go into admin does that mean they won't have to pay Keogh ?
„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Depends whether you classify him as a footballer I suppose.
If admin is a real threat we'll no doubt see the usual case of stringing it out to see if the points hit makes a difference regarding relegation.
The possibilities though. Imagine if:
We were in 22nd place at the end of the season and Direby, having pulled 11 points clear of the bottom 3 , saved us.
Or that they didn’t need the points deduction to be relegated so it was applied the following season in League One and they never managed to get enough points to get out of the relegation positions

Just been on their forum and they seem pretty much resigned to the takeover falling through, a fire sale of players and even the possibility of administration and worse.
I think back now to a few previous seasons when there was talk of them having to rein in their spending but Mel kept on gambling for one more season. The stadium 'sale' was a sure fire sign that they were in trouble and now it seems that its payback time. The greedy fucker couldn't help gambling for the big premier league pay off could he? Nearly made it too with fat Frank - what a travesty that would have been.
I can't feel sorry for a club whose fans praised the 'brilliance' of an owner who basically mortgaged the long term future of the club with the stadium 'sale'. Now they'll find themselves out of the championship, without an owner and without a stadium. In the end, everyone gets what he deserves.
I’d take Max Bird if they go down.
Don’t worry, he is a defensive midfielder.

I have no sympathy for them at all. The bragging about Mels spending and the flouting of the rules. It’s the same as the fishermen who voted for brexit and now see their businesses in trouble and moan about it. Own your shit.
I saw the question of the stadium sale raised in relation to the takeover. How would that work?
I suppose the stadium would have to be valued at the inflated price and they would have to buy direct from the purchaser rather than the club?
Could Mel retain the stadium and lease it back to the club like Kassam did to Oxford Utd?
This is fun, isn't it?
Speaking to few locals at work the word on the underground grape vine (always reliable) is that the buyer has failed to show proof of funds after their backers “pulled out” and they are now looking for another backer.
They are all pretty much think they are going into admin and blame Morris - I pointed out this wasn’t what guy were saying 12 months ago he was the 2nd coming and “clever” well I did warn you lads.
Sweet schadenfreude.

There was lots of talk that this sheikh bloke didn’t have the money anyway wasn’t there?

It’s been noted that all other takeovers he has attempted have fallen through as he failed to provide “proof of funds”

He ent gorra pot to piss in.
I’ve been saying this to them for a few years now that “you can’t carry on like this it will catch up with you eventually” can’t keep gambling the farm and getting away with it.
Their typical response was “Mel will just find another way round it he’s got the EFL on strings”
Well guess what? It’s now caught up with you.

It's all gone quite over there. Have they been paid yet?
