I think cryptocurrency and NFTs are best left to those who understand them. Even after that explanation I have no idea what's going on, so I'll just pass and leave it to the young and savvy.

NFTs are smart contracts, executable lines of code, that do stuff around value and ownership.

    Smart contracts are composable.

You can place a football bet without needing a bookie, with better odds, because itís more efficient than a book keeper and takes less profit.

You could have an NFT that displays an image of Wayne Rooney that progressively becomes more demented every time Derby concede.

You can run a football club based on supporter shareholdings, all in a watertight fashion, with virtually zero legal costs. Not saying itís a good idea, but game changing capability.

All this stuff is experimental. There is an American football league started up where fans call the plays. Again, not saying this is where we want sport to go, just that itís a potent technological advancement.

The whole ĎNFT jpegí thing is the idea that an NFT grants ownership of an image. There are so many variables and factors here that would take too long to go into, but to summarise: most of this market is a bubble; some are truly significant; the culture behind the high priced NFTs is not understood by most; NFTs can have future functionality (not saying buying an NFT image on the hope of future promises is good, but it can happen).

A good practical use for NFTs today would be tickets. In future it may be everything associated with property conveyancing - imagine taking the legal costs of that down by an order of magnitude or two.

So to summarise, NFTs are not inherently scams. People just generally dislike change. It was once thought moving pictures were heinous, but again, itís just tech with many applications.

Donít go buy NFTs, go learn how NFTs will impact your line of work.
The whole 'NFT jpeg' things sounds like the emperor's new clothes to me!

Just had a wander into Mordor (jabs up to date) and they have a thread about the play-offs which as you'd expect is basically anyone but Forest.

But they do have this one recurring theme that makes me scratch my head where they don't want us to get to Wembley, as they've been there more recently. It's an odd quirk of some even odder folk.

If we do get to Wembley, someone needs to find and update the thread of teams that have been to Wembley since our last visit.

There were some Derby fans who wanted us to get automatic promotion a few weeks ago so they could still "brag" about having been to Wembley more recently than us. They are a very strange bunch.

Look through this thread and there's folk on here that wanted them to beat QPR and Villa so we didn't have to play them for a bit... bizarre thinking.... I hate it when they win a throw in yet about a football match and I can genuinely say if we go up and they go out of business this season football in my eyes has been completed.

Agree with all that. Especially the last bit.

I think the Wembley obsession is that we are one of ten teams out the whole league, yet to play at the new Wembley.

    Let them have it lads.

They really are running out of things to laugh at us with. I am sure they will take great joy if we don't win the playoffs, whilst their own house is on fire.

Apparently he's on his way back to the states.

Why would he, he can do business from a golf course. Right?

Did they ever announce the results of their player of the season awards?

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

That is such an absolute nonsense statistic

The League Two playoff final is played at Wembley FFS!

If playing at Wembley was reserved only for the finals of the FA and League Cups (as it should be) that list would be massive

Yeah, they had a whole gala awards ceremony. Curtis Davies won it.
