Yep, a mate of mine went from a roustabout on the rigs to being a barrister in Cambridge.

Where you are now is no barrier to where you want to go.

Me too. I did an access to Science cpurse after leaving school with pretty much nothing, it lead to a degree which led to an improved professional life for me.

Well they were playing against a Jorge Mendes Celebrity XI, so there should be some quality there.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

    He's made his choice.
    Made his bed.
Saturday he gets to lie in it.

His reception from my seat in the Trend End will be rather less than cordial.

If he'd gone to the Premier League, fine. Gone to Europe - Champions League - fine.
Gone to another Championship club? You've gone for dirty cash. Fucked off from a club that stood by you while you were out of the game - scarpered at the first hint of cash.

Well..they tell me there's no loyalty or respect in the game any more and this is par for the course.

    Fine.

No loyalty or respect from my chair Saturday.

By "relegation battle", do you mean 7th, 12th or 14th?

I can only imagine being booed would make him more determined to score. The absolute best reaction would be an eerie silence whenever he is mentioned, never going to happen though.

We got £15m for him, I'm glad he went. No booing from me.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

But I said for the 4th or 5th time, will he still be playing come October? No, he'll have broken down and spend an amount of time on the sidelines, just as Boro are starting to rely on his goals.

I tend to agree with all of this. I won't be booing or clapping him either way - he's not a Forest player any more so I don't really care about him. Not bitter, but he was only here a few years, scored a few goals and we made a healthy profit on him. It happens.
