He needs to get fit and stay fit for his own career as much as anything. Imagine if he has to retire now at his age? He'll have to go and get a proper job and not many would like that drop from pro athlete to mere mortal.

We'll wait until he plays 500 games for us and comes back as manager, then the **** can really have it.

We won't give him a chance to reach that position.

People want to get rid now when he's the only proven goalscorer we have.

When he scores the winner for us in the European Cup Final against Juventus in a few years, you won't be mocking him then!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

After years of whinging for the club to sign an expensive striker.

On a side note, is twitter good for anything?! It just seems to be a breeding ground for hate and stupidity.

It's not well done Britt. He had absolutely no choice. I suggested weeks ago that someone needed to sit down with him and tell him a few home truths. We need Britt; he's a true predator and can make a difference. That piss poor Wolves defence wouldn't have been so smug if he had been playing. Yes he's a great bloke and made the right decision a tad late. Still not going to Hudds though!

BTW, anyone tell me which knee he did originally? And which hamstrings he 'tweaked' just now?

I don't know about tweeked, far more than that.

I applaud all on here who helped make him or the people around him see right from wrong. Well done.

Fan pressure could have played its part. Well done twitter "morons" if that's the case.

And for those do-gooders who wanted the multi millionaire to go and fuck Forest and their supporters, shame on you.

Good for him, sensible lad, smiling and chatting around the hospital as well over the last few days. He might have had others voice an opinion to him, but he eventually makes the decision.

I hope he now scores a few goals for us to make the decision really count.

Could just as easily be discussing a Derby, Man U or Liverpool player. Nice to see some footballers still want to play for their country, and don't automatically agree when clubs, managers and fans insist they shouldn't. No different if he happens to play for Forest, unless we're being hypocritical.
