Surely Fox will be cover cover for left back if Mance is also injured? He's not been great, but he's not that bad.
Cover cover for right back would be Riera or Wilson with a re jig in the middle I would have thought.
If DDV is injured for any length of time, I would expect DF to use the extra space in the squad to bring in an emergency loan.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

fox is that bad, his exclusion has mysteriously coincided with our defensive issues being resolved.

Possibly, but then it could have something to do with having a left sided attack that is now able to contribute defensively.

Nothing to do with that since Lichaj & mancienne has no issues with Antonio there when they were playing on the left. Why make excuses for poor defenders like Fox ?

If you think Antonios inability to get up & down hasn't had a knock on effect with anyone playing the left back role then your having a fucking laugh.
Aint making excuses for anyone, Im keeping an open mind until the playing field is a bit more level for anyone at left back.

Wouldn't want to condemn Fox as a player until a little assistance proves ineffective.

And yet like i said , Lichaj & Mancienne was able to perform in that left back role even though it's not really their position. A defender who cannot defend , you cannot blame that on the winger.

Fox is always 10 feet away from his winger , then fail to close him down when the winger gets the ball. It's laughable to blame it on antonio.

Your argument seems to be centred around the success of Lichaj & Mancienne at LB? Personally I think they both had their issues in the position.

Not least becuase Antonio was not able to get back. there is always going to appear more space between attacker & left back, if left back is defending on his own. If he had committed further up the pitch & got skinned then he'd get fucking pelters for that aswell.

Jurys well out on Fox, but we really should see what he can do with some help.

We've played 14 matches and yet our joint top league scorer with 2 goals no longer plays for us and only played 4 matches anyway & the other top scorer (Mills) has been out injured and is a CB. Britt is only 2 goals behind embarrassingly.

I wonder if anyone will get above 10 goals this season like in the 1992 season. Come back soon Britt!

Oh yeah true, see my mistake on that one. So should be even worse, believe it should be as below, though the BBC claim that Antonio got no league goals & 2 cup goals, which is wrong.

Britt could come back next Easter and still be our leading scorer.

I am sure in the last 20 years there is a season a player scored less than 10 .....and I just thought of Dave Bassett's last season and upon checking I found that Dougie finished with 9 league goals as top scorer

There may be a worse season in the last 20 or so years though, but which I don't know

It's a hard enough task to identify and sign a proven goalscorer when you're able to spend money, which demonstrates that it's a virtual impossibility when under the restrictions of an imposed embargo.
