    Default Britt Curtis Assombalonga

Didn't score again today, long may he struggle to score for Boro!

    Edit: Beaten to it.

What we should do is be top 4 come Christmas, Boro dip to 14th-18th ish... then go back and get him for 5m.

    #bringhimhome

He'll have realised the error of his ways by then. Everyone deserves a second chance and all that.

Although we can probably do better than Britt if that is the scenario come December!

Expected his downfall to be his fitness, not his ability. I am sure he will bag plenty by the end of the season but surprised he has only scored in 1 game so far.

It's why the game against us was so funny for him. I would bet he didn't miss that many in the whole of last season!

From memory it took him a few games to start scoring for us. He will eventually get into gear. Hopefully not, just for a laugh...but I reckon with the chances he's having eventually he'll start burying them.

We vastly overrated Britt. £15m was ridiculous.

He's a good poacher but that's all he brings. If he isn't slotting away the easier chances then he's a complete waste of space - he doesn't have pace, despite being built can't act as a hold up player particularly well, doesn't win aerial balls, isn't a false 9 to play a passing game.

    Nada.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

That 1 in 2 conversion rate still catches the eye though. I'm not sure the limitations are such an issue when your as prolific as he is. He'll get it done if Boro can tee him up consistently.

£15 mill remains a good deal for the player though, largely because we need our strikers to be a little more self sufficient.

I don't doubt he'll come good for Boro. Unfortunately.

Doesnt matter if he comes good or not, the strength of the individual was shown in that one game. Even if he bags 3 next game at the CG we had boros pants down for the weak individual theyve brought.

I'm more than glad how it worked out, but he's still got 7 in 14 this season, and has single handedly scored more than 40% of their goals this season so far.

One of those moves which appears to have been a win-win all round.

His goals once again are against lower mid table and relegation sides. They all count, though - but worth noting.

    2 more tonight.

Up to 11 Champ goals and 2nd behind Leon Clarke (12) this season.

Plus a Champ career record of 41 goals in 65 starts & 18 sub appearances.

If Boro don’t go up, and he keeps that rate up, they might have a job keeping hold of him in the summer.

He does lift a poor team up to mid table and an ok team to playoff contenders. Still don’t think he’s quick enough to play for a mid to lower team in the PL though no matter how good he is in front of goal.
