How long must he stay at Forest for the bookies to pay out?

August transfer window and a loan back doesn't count as staying

Surely not? They previously bombed him out without giving him a chance.

The fact it's gone from Boro favourites to Burnley and now to Watford in the past day or so pretty much tells you all you need to know about that market.

I hope we don't sell him just so the Posh chairman will shut his gob and not get a sell on clause, the tosser. He is incredibly annoying.

I just stuck a tenner on it. I don't think he will be going anytime soon. He's happy here and the club want him, in addition I don't think we will be seeing any monster offers for him. The only bid so far is one half of our alleged asking price.

Have to keep him, I'm sure it's been mentioned but you cannot replace him.

I think he's as good as gone, way too much interest from the bigger boys. Would like to think he will stay but I reckon when London clubs in the prem are sniffing we don't stand a chance. If he wants to go, then I don't think you can keep him playing and happy.

We just need to make sure we get as much as we can; I'm sure uncle Fawaz would have cracked at the 8M bid already.

Perhaps we'll sell to fund other signings, but I think we'll only do so if its an offer we cannot refuse (£15m+).

As much as we need to fund signings in midfield and full back, I'd still be reluctant to see Britt go for less than £15m.

Hopefully we can find it within our budget to strengthen AND keep Britt. Whatever happens, I trust Warburton's judgment on this matter; he'd only agree to a sale if it is in NFFC's best interests.

If bookies odds meant anything at all, Glenn Hoddle would have managed us numerous times over the last 20 years.

What makes you think that? The good price he got for Gunts, the good price he got for Geddy, the satisfactory price he got for two youngsters who cost us nowt, the good price he got for Antonio, or the superb price he got for Burke?

I'd say we were probably a bit short changed with Antonio however agree Fawaz did sell for decent sums generally.

The Burke money was especially good although timing was appalling and seemed very damaging to the side.

Hope we keep Britt as think he's worth more than what clubs will pay this transfer window.

I'd rather get to reap the rewards of having him play as his value rises.

Think your being a bit generous there tbh, I would say the fees for Guedioura and Gunter were fine, the Lascelles/Darlow fee was pretty low considering their nationality, age and quality, Antonios fee was criminally low, 7 million for a player who has made England squads and been a Premier League teams player of the year? Burkes fee would be ok if it had add-ons and a sell on clause, but it didnt.

You forgot Lansbury, whose fee was fine when considering he only had 6 months on his contract, but Fawaz should never have allowed it to get to that point, we should have sold Lansbury in the previous summer and kept Burke.
