Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

Is Megan Rapinoe allowed to talk about Donald Trump yet?

During the WC when she had the world's attention. He told her to win first speak later.

She's now won the WC, player of the WC, the Balon D'or.

    Who?

    Trump or Rapinoe?

They're both American, being a dick is par for the course.

Can't help but think the Ballon D'or might have been for none footballing reasons as she only played 6 times for her club in 2019 and half of her WC goals were penalties.

The focus with women's football is a lot more on the international game. The right way around. How many people who watched the World Cup watched the women's Champions League Final? Small percentage, I'd imagine - international friendlies are a bigger deal.

That's how you have players playing 200 times for their country.

She was the star player in their World Cup win. Nobody else was going to get it.

Not sure how many Rapinoe played, but US women's team have played 23 times in 2019.

That's more games than they play in the WSL. She's a centrally contracted international athlete.

I have no doubt there is skill in women's football, it's just that they look as if they are running through treacle. In other words, it's a bit slow.
