Really pleased for him..
Over the season based on minutes on the pitch it works out to roughly a goal every 1.5 games.
Who'd have thought Walker would be sat 8pts above us in the table with Cov this time last year?
Let's remember there were quite a few folk saying he wasn't good enough for us. Having said that, how many would he score playing in a team that creates virtually no chances?

Just wanting to check my facts here, by my reckoning Tyler Walker has 4 goals this season, whereas Lyle Taylor has 4 & Lewis Grabban has 2.
I thought Tyler was crap L1 standard, and those two were promotion strikers?
Seems to me Tyler's doing as good, if not better, a job in the same league as those two.
You ain't getting me today Alfred!
Stats-wise, Walker looks the best of all 3........

Now we all know that there's more to it than that, but how anyone can say Walker's L1 standard when he's doing better than both our main strikers at the mo I've no idea tbh.
As tenuous as paralells get, Walkers playing for a manager who's had 4 years to rubber stamp his ethos. Hughtons still trying to forge something from the blankest of canvasses left by his predecessor in the opposition half.
Thats before you consider the chances missed by Grabban & Taylor & Walkers previous stint here suggesting he'd be next to useless in our current set up.
Pleased Walkers bagged a few, but he isnt the answer here.
Your palms are holding her neck and thumbs are at her ears regulating the speed of her head as she swallows and then sucks up your machinery. She is topping up your engine oil for the cross-country coming up. Your RPM is hitting a new high. To wait any longer would be to lose prime time... She picks up a Bugatti's momentum. You want her more at a Volkswagen's steady trot. Squeeze the maximum mileage out of your gallon of gas. But she's eating up the road with all cylinders blazing.

For Walker to stay wed have to guarantee him first team football or give him a big wage. So the talk about keeping Walker is a dud debate. Its like when we sold Assombolonga it was totally out of our hands.

I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“
„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

It's not a slate on Grabs not Taylor Tommy, I think both are currently better players, it's simply showing that Walker's not as bad as some claim.
Specifically, it's designed to give people a chance to look at the claim that he's L1 standard from a different angle.
Also, Grabs & Taylor both have many years on the lad. I think, given time, Walker will go on to have some very respectable seasons in the Championship, with 15+ goals under his belt. Something which a ton of strikers who we've bought here (Miller, Mir, Bonatini, Cox, Derbyshite, etc.) have failed to do.
Ultimately time will tell.
Is he good enough for promotion currently, and where we want to be? No, I don't think he is. Is he good enough for the Champ, and potentially better than most the strikers we've signed in the last 10 years? That's another story.

If you think both are better than Walker, then what are you even arguing about.
