There was a beautiful one in charlottenburg, unfortunately I had it the night before flying home and spent the whole journey shuffling uncomfortable sat next to a lovely Russian lady.

    Yeah Berlin, you’ll be OK.

The problem is, Germans don’t really „do“ spicy food. So, whilst you can find Indian restaurants, the fare isn’t often as popping as you’re used to. That’s OK, you’ll find the many of the same dishes but not as hot.

Although, you can ask for your curry „Scharf“ and they’ll make it a little warmer.

There’s a couple of Indian places in Stuttgart who’ll do your curry a little more robust, if you ask.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

To be honest most of the Indian food I eat these days I make myself. I'll have to open my own restaurant if there isn't anything around.

    It's the same here.

It's why I've been veganising the work of this fine man..

I too partake in preparing my own Indian dishes, and will again later today, as my apartment again becomes HQ of the Stuttgart Sunday Curry Club (the proper foodie one, not the foam-hand waving Stone Island-clad „do you want some?“ brigade).

It’s going to be a Jalfrezi today, and about as warm as Satan‘s anus, and even though I’ll open all the doors and Windows, the flavour will permeate through the building like the kind of chemical warfare practiced on the Somme in WWI.

Not as much as the smell first thing tomorrow!

I had some indian cooking classes a few years back as a birthday present because I love cooking anything like that. My favourite is a nice hot Garlic Chilli Chicken. Complete with roasted garlic flakes over the top.

A cracking Interview here with Edwin van der Sar, where he talks about his role as CEO of Ajax, and reminisces about their frankly superb 1995-European Cup winning side:

Older readers may fondly recall the Umbro Tournament of 1995, where the bulk of that great Ajax team (minus Frank Rijkaard, who’d retired) turned up at the City Ground in preseason.

Meanwhile, in Juventus being shady pricks news it seems the Guardia di finanza are investigating the language test done by Suarez. They're saying he knew the answers beforehand.
