Argentine Striker Nicolas Gonzalez is also tipped to leave after the Copa America, with Brighton & Hove Albion having had a €25m bid accepted.

Sven Mislintat is wheeling and dealing already. Expect at least one, and maybe two, defenders to be his next targets now he’s fixed the goalkeeping situation.
Dortmund needed a new goalie because Burki is really not good enough

Yeah, and we're not getting him off your hands, no matter how hard you try (the rumours are hopefully false).

Gattuso is set to leave fiorentina after 2 weeks. It is said he's had a falling out with the management.

Claudio Ranieri is the favourite to replace him.

The falling out reportedly centers on his insistance of asking for players of a certain mega-agent all Forest fans and particularly Alf love very much.

Default La Liga/Serie A/Bundesliga/Ligue Un & other World Football Thread

    One for our resident Milanese:

Milan are apparently stepping up their efforts to sign giant Austrian striker Sasa Kalajdzic from VfB Stuttgart.

I Rossoneri want him to bolster their Champions League campaign, and it is believed a bid in excess of €25m could be enough to secure the signature of a player who scored 16 Bundesliga goals last season, and has three international goals for Austria.

VfB signed him for €2m from Admira Wacker two seasons ago, and his current deal runs until June 2023.

    https://www.kicker.de/milan-macht-er...807563/artikel

With Stuttgart already having sold goalie Gregor Kobel to Dortmund for €15m, and with Nicolas Gonzalez maybe also on the way to Brighton & Hove Albion for €25m, Die Schwaben will have a substantial transfer war-chest to spend bolstering the squad for next season.

Sporting Director Sven Mislintat will no doubt be looking for more bargains over the summer, he’s going to have to sign at least two defenders, and two strikers, but the money will be there if he wants to spend.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Not my hands mate, I don’t support Dortmund. I just recognise that he’s a pretty pish keeper in a good team.

Ι confused you with Strummer and Dortmund with Stuttgart. I should not be talking about football before my morning coffee.

Disgraceful really. All involves Jorge Mendes and the failure to secure the deals for Sergio Oliveira and Goncalo Guedes (Mendes players). It all seemed so positive with us supposedly close to getting Nico Gonzalez too.

Ranieri back in Florence you say... Francesco Toldo Gabi Batistuta, Rui Costa, Francesco Baiano era.

La Viola certainly have bid for Gonzalez, I can tell you that with some certainty, but the player, who is at the Copa America at present, apparently prefers the Premier League instead of Serie A.

For me, and I’ve seen pretty much every game the Argentine has played, Serie A would have been a better fit for him.

    But what do I know.

So, the question is..... Any good?

Also former Derby legend Tomori has signed on with milan. There's a definite buy young thing with Maldini happening. Which is no bad thing as the three ex milan players in the Italy team were let go for a combined sum of 12m.

    ...not even a Carvalho!

Big lad (2m!) not the fastest, but an excellent target man, great at leading the line and holding up the ball.

He’s got a powerful shot, and is lethal with his head.

Overcame a serious knee injury (that cost him almost an entire season) and was immense last term, scoring sixteen league goals in 31 matches.

That Kaladjic lad looked mince for Austria in the Euros. Bit of a lump.

Seems to fit the mold of the forwards were being linked to. Zlatan's about done, the next target Giroud can't be far behind. This lad sounds perfect.

It's injury time, your team needs an equalizer, and you do this:

I don't think I've ever seen the ball hit the horizontal post three times. What the hell was the speed of that shot?

Renato Sanches hit the post for Portugal at the weekend; I think that is the hardest shot I’ve ever seen.

The long running contract saga with AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu looks set to be settled. After an end of season game of hedging his bets in hope of a better contract then the one on the table, and amid rumours of big money moves to man utd etc..

Hakan looks set to join Inter!

Well played Maldini again for not paying over the odds for average talent.

Among the many things with which we enjoy making fun of Panathinaikos fans, this free kick at Anfield in 1999 will become my new favourite.

Along with our new coach. The brilliantly named Vincenzo Italiano. Who needs Gattuso.

I think you’ll like Gonzalez. A proper crafty player, capable of operating as a deep-lying forward or an out-and-out striker.

I’ve enjoyed watching him these last three seasons.

    Ooya sarnie, missed that.

He did some great work with Spezia last year. If he carries it on you could have yourself a decent man in charge.

So would suit a 3-5-2 as the roaming forward ? That is what Viola played last season but not sure what Italiano likes.

I was reading a German football accounts views on him. They were saying that they prefer him as a winger as he is very good 1v1 ?

Interesting though. He sounds versatile & just a good all-round footballer.

Not official yet I don't think, mate. But I think Di Marzio and Schiro are reporting it is done.

Sounds exciting. Up-and-coming. The type I want Forest to look for.
