Be interesting to see which senior players are involved tomorrow.

If Blackstock doesn't play the full 90, it may suggest that Fryatt is a 'couple of weeks' sort of injury and that he may be needed on the bench for Wednesday with Dutch lad getting a start.

Vaughan played, which is disappointing as it probably means he won't be involved on Wednesday.

    (also sticky this thread)

    (maybe)

Forest 21s are top of the league too.

Stuart Pearce would be outraged if he knew we aren't taking youth seriously.

Also does Osborne ever play for the U21s now? Or has he fully graduated up to the first team?

U21s are just glorified reserves now, so he will play for them.

This is excellent news. I'm hoping for big things from this young lad.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Would be nice to have 2 Burke's on the pitch at once, with neither of them being the referee.

Under Megson we often had eleven berks in the pitch at once!

Surprised Burke jokes haven't come out before this, disappointed really. Is Oliver Burke a winger or a striker (or both)?

He's primarily a winger, who has the physicality and pace to also play as a striker.

I think with his pace, skill and ability to beat a man, he'll be a winger. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if he makes the squad at some point this season.

This is pure guesswork from observing the u21's, but he's been benched recently, although that's in part of Blackstock & Veldwijk getting a go at u21 level. So i'd say he's not ready yet, added to Eastick (think it was him) saying he's still got a bit to do yet before he's ready, and that the purpose of giving him an insight this summer was an incentive to him to push on and get more of it.
