Could so easily have been 7 or 8 by half time.
    So many stand out performances.
Konate has been - quite rightly - highlighted but I was particularly impressed by Larsson.

Individually, to a man they all impressed and a proper team performance too.
I'm not sure he's allowed any praise on here after the other week, but a blinder of a save from Horvath in the second half

I think it was Nicky Hogarth who we signed from Rangers in the summer. And it was a quality save.

Of course it was ... my apologies.
    As you say quality save.

    Bravo you three.

30/09/2021: It's only 8 points to the play-offs. Doesn't matter if we're 20th having lost three times as many games as we've won so far. I fancy us now that Hughton's gone.

My favourite too. Oliver Hammond 3rd-man running and going beyond the forwards for the goal too. I just love that. Webb, Hodge, Keane etc would be proud.

PS Heard Oli Hammond may be going on a 1-month youth loan to Notts County.

I can’t help thinking, Forest might have slipped a ringer in there!

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

Listening to both Steve Cooper's interview yesterday and Reidy talk just now is a breath of fresh air after listening to Hughton this season.

Beat Boro 1-0 yesterday (Will Swann the goal) means we're now 4th in the PL2 Division 2 Standings although plenty of teams have a game in hand. Good start for our first cat 1 season.

Anyone know how to get tickets for their next game and is it at Notts County's ground again?

The u23's are at the City Ground on Friday (v Burnley).

I'm pretty sure it's free to get in if you're a season card holder.

    ACADEMY UPDATE

Our U17s beat West Ham 3-1 away in the U17 Premier League Cup on Monday. Nadin + Osong x 2 - Leicester & Norwich are the other 2 teams in the group. The games schedule for Cat 1 football is just amazing. Our young players are not only being tested against quality but there is a lot of games too.

You can play 18s (2nd years) but we didn't so James Clarridge, Pharrell Johnson, Sam Collins & Jack Perkins who have been in the u18 team wouldn't have been involved. The other major 2nd years are our Northern Irish duo Dale Taylor and Jamie McDonnell. Good and bad news is that Taylor was selected for the U19 national team so look like he is nearing football but McDonnell returned from the last internationals injured.

So getting back to our 17s. Team would have been all the 17s with U16 Abbott who is starting the U18 games too + U16s on the bench.

So we would have set-up something like.

    Bott
    Abbott Hammond Hanks McAdam
    Thompson Perry
    Powell Nadin Gardner
    Osong

The U16s this season are setting up something like.

    Lovelace
    Ward Gbopo Robinson Morgan
    Ingham Whitehall
    Li Smith Lister
    Brown

Bonser has been playing left-back with an injury too Morgan.
Kevin Adz (not sure on his surname) in the squad for CB.
Danny Anisjko has gone quiet but the qualities I saw I thought he would be a certainty but Faruq Smith and Henry Lister's progression has been phenomenal. Faruq (definitely travelled with the 17s) scoring goals for fun with smart runs into the box and Lister like Li are direct ball-running machine wingers.
Connor Brown signed from Lincoln City who had trials with Liverpool (who looks to have jumped Jai Sharma as main CF in the group).
Archie Whitehall we signed from Notts County & like Brown they were both highly rated at their academies. Ourselves and Derby are taking advantage of County's situation with their academy. We've signed another player from Notts (I think) for the 16s this week Jimmy Sinclair but need to find out more info.

The U15s is a group I think Forest would have had concerns with. A lot of change has happened. They've been on the end of some beatings but they also win games convincingly so it is a mixed bag. They also know that the U14 group is so strong that players can play up and help out and they will still have the depth there.

    15s beat Birmingham 8-3 & 14s beat Coventry 7-2 on Sunday.

15s are something like this at the moment but a lot of change can still happen.

GK:Charlie Oseland (signed from grassroots club in Shrewsbury)

RB: Lucas Garner (signed from local club Keyworth United)
CB: Toby Tree (Recently played for Wales U16s vs France)
    CB:
LB: Tyrese Thomas (signed from Solihull) or Josh Davis

    CM: Kristian Clarke
CM: David Modupe (can play CB)
    CM: Theo Flanagan

WF: Chae *not sure on surname* (signed from Notts County)
WF: Jaiden Campbell-Ryce (signed from local club Keyworth United)

CF: Charlie Wragg (signed from Solihull & often played up or 2 groups up & scored 5 on Sunday. Being a Villa fan it would have gone down well)

*Clarke, Modupe and Flanagan the main 3 that are still here from the lower groups.
** Other players in the group are Kye Bilton & Shayne Byrne (both signed from Solihull), Kai Bonnick (signed from County), Luke Campion, Charlie Prestwich.

Jayden Powell (son of Darryl played up from 14s & scored in the 15s game). Pretty excited about this U14 group. Some real ballers.

Is Jayden Campbell-Rice related to Jamal Campbell-Rice?

    Pleasure mate.

It's a good question. I'm not sure but with double-barrel surnames - each one is not exactly common and with Jamal's County link got to be a good chance.

Awesome Bryan. I always look forward to your updates. I haven't heard of the goalkeeper for the 16s, Lovelace. What is his first name? Cheers.

He joined 2/3 seasons ago from Boston United. Jake Lovelace. The GK for the group before him was Keehan Willows and he is still there too.
