Default Gigs you been to this year...so far.

Just been reading the Glastonbury thread and it spurred me onto thinking about what gigs everybody has been too this year. Seen Arcade Fire twice this year (I remember the second time!) and Pearl Jam last week in Leeds were epic. Also seen Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Black Stone Cherry, Five Finger Death Punch.

    Anybody else?

Saw Jocelyn Brown in Feb- She was fantastic. Did all the 90's dance hits and some of her 80's soul stuff.
Then got to see Beyonce at O2. Pretty boring and far too much time off stage
Finally got to see prince. He was sensational. Will never forget that gig.
Justin Timberlake a week later - good gig and he was on top form.
Stevie Wonder a few weeks ago. Terrible. Just awful.
Was at Monty Python a couple of weeks ago - NOBODY EXPECTS.......

Been skint so not got to many, but got on the guest list for Courtney Love at Rock City (mates with White Miles) and supported Tenpole Tudor & Vain this past month. Can't wait to get all the finances sorted and back to normal!

    Lost count

Highlights undoubtedly being numerous Ferocious Dog dates as well as Gaz Brookfield.

Frank Turner was ace at the arena. Goldblade, 3 Daft Monkeys and Dreadzone oop at t'Blackmarket Venue in Warsop was cracking.

I've also enjoyed seeing Paige Seabridge perform a few times this year.

Don't think I've had any Red Jester action this year!

Gutted I missed Dreadzone that day!! We've been shamefully inactive. Used it best we can but the back end of this year best see a lot more action for us!!

The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin I keep sliding off to the side and the Devil makes good use of these hands of mine

My only gig this year was Elkie Brookes - 5 star performance from a real pro.

Dandy Warhols @ Rescue Rooms were excellent (albeit a bit of a short show).

We did get in talks with a promo company randomly who wanted us to tour Asia next year! I was like "we've not even got a proper album out yet?". Fuck that shit, it's playing rockstar and I don't think my hip movements are legal outside the UK. Iraq is far more likely!

Tom Jones gig last night at the Larmer Tree was up there with the best I have been to.
The Bleedin' Noses were pretty good; gave the old woman a miss; Jones was immense and had an excellent - really excellent - 9 piece band.
Just how does a 74 year old still manage to belt blues, rock and roll and ballads with such ease?

Reverend and The Makers - Good, been better, sadly average album being toured.
Jake Bugg - At the Arena! Madness how far he's came. Was excellent again.
Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane, Royal Blood, Tame Impala - Great day!
Weller - Great to be able to cross a name off of the list of 'must-sees'. Boy, he can sing.
Jo Shaw Taylor - arguably my highlight of the year. Blues master, loved it!

Arcade Fire twice (Blackpool and Earls Court) and an ace tiny Foals gig. And the Alarm/Mike Peters a few times as usual.

Got Alt J tickets for September in Manc too.

Was supposed to take my daughter to the Pierces too, but it was over 14s only which pissed me off out of all proportion so I didn't go at all. Twats.

    Oh FFS.
