Munich won three in a row in the seventies. So did Ajax.

That Ajax team were as good as any other in the history of the game.
The beautiful game = that team.

THE TRUTH IS THERE AND WITH IT I GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD .

    Default Champions League

Johan Cruijff, Johnny Rep, Johan Neeskens, Rinus Michels - what a side that was.

I remember on the older FIFA games you used to have historic sides and Ajax 1970s was one of them.

    They were quite frankly brilliant.

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

I really hate to admit it but the first Scouser squad to win it was pretty special. Ray Clemence, Jimmy Case, Ian Callaghan, David Fairclough, Keegan etc and the outstanding Steve Heighway who (in my view) was second only to our own Robbo when it came to wingers in that era.

    Total Football!
They invented it of course, but I haven't really seen any team since that have mastered proper total football.

Mourinho said the whole of England should have been behind Chelsea tonight and that we needed to think about the coefficient. If teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City keep losing in Europe there is a chance a team like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd or Liverpool may miss out altogether one year as a direct result. As a Forest I should be upset by this.

I know it won't happen this way, but I just imagined Liverpool finishing fourth this season and missing out on CL because of the coefficient.

So our European teams' managers are blaming fans of our non-European teams for their teams being shit in Europe. Sounds about right.

Can't see beyond Barca, Bayern or Real winning this. They're so much better than the rest, nobody can cope with Real's attack.

The performance of the Premier League entrants are showing that England may provide the riches, the europeans football provide the quality.
