Gamepass is an incredible product, sadly it is packages in an Xbox, what I find to be a subpar console and operating system (I have both a xbox and PS5).

Picked up The Outer Worlds on the cheap. I wasn't expecting much but Jesus Christ it's excruciatingly dull. Each hour feels like watching a Chris Hughton team play, and I never thought any game or film could drag down being Han Solo to such a painfully dull experience. The only way to play is to kill everyone, but then that gets dull after a while.

God help the future of games if this is the direction they're headed in. Think I'll have a few hours on Hellfire tonight instead.

I thought it was an extremely bland, dull game, I was incredibly bored and quit after a few hours.

Looks good, but aren't the dialing back the difficulty on that?

Be a shame if they did. The Souls games get a great balance of challenging but not frustrating.

I recently played Nioh 2, and it wasn't as good as the original sadly. Had gone gimmick & loot obsessed.

They better not do that, I guess we will see. It would be daft if they did as their reputation is built on weeding out casual gamers with the time you need to put in to git gud noob. To make it easier just to get more people on board would be a shame, wouldn't surprise you though as it's all about the money.

Yeah, I read a few bits but it might just have been gossip.

If you fancy playing the forefather of the Souls games for a good challenge, give The Immortal on the SEGA Megadrive a try (without a guide). It took me YEARS to finish that as a kid

„I believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialism“

„Don't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.”

If ya a geek like me then Two Point Campus, made by the Theme Hospital/Two Point Hospital guys coming out soon (straight to gamepass) and the new, much delayed, Lego Star Wars is finally coming out soon. There’s a special edition that comes in a Lego Han Solo in carbonite steel book case and I’m tempted just for the case

Aye. Self-harming this though. The kid has done nothing but support and promote them for years. Half the Switch's library are retro or reboot games, and it's folk like Gilva who helped reignite interest in some of those games (I mean the likes of Gley Lancer on Switch, that would never even be on anyone's radar had the SHMUP and tunes communities not given it exposure).

    Sad times.

Rockstar confirm they are developing the "next entry" in the GTA series, whatever that means.

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that it's going to be yet another immense game.

I'd love them to go to Hawaii or Tokyo.

Hasn't the main writer/creative of the previous GTA games left now? I don't hold out a great deal of hope, either for the quality or it being available in the next five years.

I think the Housers left not long after RDR2.

Horizon; Forbidden West looks too good to miss. Loved the first one.

Update. Had a couple hours on Horizon FW (PS5) last night. Mostly prologue and managed action sequences but you could see the potential. The environment is the standout and follows the solid tradition of Sony exclusives for world building and stunning vistas. Think Uncharted, God of War (latest) and Last of Us as equals in this regard.

I loved the first one and this game ratchets everything up. The combat was great in the first one and this one smooths the edges and adds volume to nail it down completely. Also plays smooth as butter (played on 'favour performance'). Believe the hype.

I bought my daughter a Nintendo Switch, and we have absolutely loved the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy.

I played the games when they first came out and it’s great to be able to introduce them to her on a modern platform.
