I have to say, I thought the games had a fanatic storyline which could easily be converted in to a TV series or film. I was actually a bit emotional when Talion turned it to one of the nine, but then when he got released walking through the grass towards Gondor. Would have been nice if his wife and child were waiting for him.

It is a brilliant series of games, it's like Arkham City had been merged with Skyrim playing wise. The DLCs are worth it mate so if you feel flush invest.

Would love another game in that style, or just a new game in middle earth, there's so many tales to tell.
I've just started this based on these posts

Enjoyed SoM so looking forward to giving this a go

Me and my mates did the Doomsday Heist on GTA last night, it was super fun. A bit bonkers like previous GTAs but still felt like the modern GTA (if that makes any sense).

New island heist next, really can't wait

The island hiest is alright, definitely better with mates. It's more of a slog though than the others and annoying as fuck in parts. I've done a few runnthroughs of it now.

Building your army is really fun, and when you can start taking over your fort and defending it is when it gets good. Just a tip, you can use fight pits to level your orcs, but be aware the AI in fight pits is absolute dogmeat. Don't waste good orcs in online fight pits, because of the previous reason. Berserkers with defender shields and loads of rage triggers are absolute monsters if you can get them. Doing the online weekly quests will get you loads of free upgrades for your orcs. Oh and always upgrade their weapon to fire, poison or curse, its cheap but effective upgrade.

ĄI believe in socialism because it seems more humanitarian, rather than every man for himself and 'I'm alright jack' and all those arsehole businessmen with all the loot. I made up my mind from viewing society from that angle. That's where I'm from and there's where I've made my decisions from. That's why I believe in socialismď

ĄDon't forget you're alive. 'Cause sometimes when you walk around the city and you're in a bad mood, you can think, hey, wait a minute, we're alive! We don't know what the next second will bring and what a fantastic thing this is. This can get easily forgotten in the routine of life, and that's something I'm trying to bring to my attention at all times. Don't forget you're alive. We're not dead, you know. This is the greatest thing.Ē

Started playing Nier Replicant, it's pretty good so far, very similar to Automata gameplay wise.

I borrowed red dead redemption 2 off a mate. Please tell me it gets better than the initial mission thing? Lumbering about in the snow on your horse being bossed around by some ****. I tried to kill him and his stupid horse but to no avail.

Not for me it didn't. Folk love it, but you've described there exactly what I felt playing it - a drudgerous slog.

Just wait until you get to the pulse-racingly amazing part where you can eat tinned sardines!

Is that the prequel on the 360?

I wasn't keen on Automata, but thrived on the 360 game. Absolutely brilliant game.

That's the one it was out on the 360 and PS3 and it's been remade/remastered. It's the Japanese version though where instead of you controlling the girls dad, it's the girls brother.

I was of the exact same opinion as you to begin with, it felt restrictive, fiddly and dull. I got really angry that I had spent money on it but when it opened up after a good few hours I absolutely loved it and it became one of my top games ever.

Absolutely pisses all over Automata from every angle IMO. Let us know what you reckon.
